Investors mainly focused on earnings reports. The Dow and the S&P 5 indices declined % and.15% respectively. On the other hand, the Nasdaq advanced.% as merger and acquisition activity in the biotechnology sector had a positive impact on the index. European markets ended Tuesday s trading session higher as investors keenly focused on corporate earnings and appeared to have decided to deal with Greece s crisis in calm. The DAX 3 and the FTSE indices added.% and.15% respectively. The CAC edged up.1%. Asian markets are trading positive this morning. On the speculation that the Chinese government will accelerate the monetary stimulus, the Chinese stocks are trading higher this morning. The Shanghai Composite and the Hang Seng indices are trading up 1.% and.3% respectively. The Nikkei is trading % higher on expectations of improved corporate earnings. The KOSPI is trading up %. Dubai rose.7% on the support of property stocks and strong trading volumes. The indices of Abu Dhabi and Qatar added % each. Aldar Properties which surged % was the main support for Abu Dhabi, while banking stocks remain as support for Qatar. Bahrain and Oman indices edged up.2% and.1% respectively. On the other hand, Kuwait declined.7% on same tax rate proposals for local and foreign companies. TASI declined.3%, to close at 9,55 Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declined.32% or 3 points on Tuesday to close at 9,55.9. Six of the fifteen sector indices closed higher. The advance decline ratio was 76/75. Trading turnover was around bn. Among the heavyweight sectors, Telecom Sector plummeted 3.3% on Mobily s results, ing and Petrochemical Industries edged down.19% and.% respectively. Among other sectors, Media and Publishing advanced 2.56%, Multi-Investment and Cement inched up.6%, while Energy & Utilities fell 2.2%.
