As such, we are well placed to advise you on the best option for your financial institution, whether it be a direct Nostro relationship, a non-resident account or hub clearing through South Africa. We currently offer the following African currency accounts: Standard Bank s cash clearing and management services support all your cash requirements, including foreign currency denominated payments, collections and liquidity management, as well as trade and investment transactions. Botswana pula (BWP) Ghanaian cedi (GHC) Kenyan shilling (KES) Lesotho loti (LSL) We act as a direct clearing agent in several African countries, leveraging direct relationships with central banks and transacting within national payment systems. As a result, we offer global financial institutions direct access to domestic currencies in our presence countries in the following ways: Mauritian rupee (MUR) Malawian kwacha (MWK) Mozambican metical (MZN) Namibian dollar (NAD) Nigerian naira (NGN) As a direct correspondent banking (Nostro) relationship in the relevant country, or South African rand (ZAR) Through a centralised clearing hub in South Africa for African currencies where you can appoint us as your Nostro agent for selected African currencies, or we operate as a routing agent to distribute your payments to beneficiaries in Africa, where regulations permit.
