On May 18, 1995, company changed its name from Shri Ganesh Spinners Private Limited to Shri Ganesh Spinners Limited. In February, 1996, company came out with IPO and got listed on Bombay Stock Exchange Limited. Subsequently, on March 23, 2011 it again changed its name to Yantra Natural Resources Limited. The company s top management personnel include Mr. Dhiresh Munver, who is the Managing Director and Compliance Officer; and Mr. Srikanth Ginjupalli, who is the Chairman and Non-Executive and Independent Director. bout 0.16% of the shareholding is held by institutional shareholders and the rest lies with the non-institutional shareholders. Business Overview Yantra is engaged in operating in two businesses including trading of textile products and trading of shares and securities. In the trading of textile business, it offers fabrics including cotton, georgette, lenion, velvet, zinga, lachaka, and poplin. In FY 2015, the company earned its entire turnover from trading and sale of textiles. In the coming years, the company is focusing its resources in the business segments of shares and securities. It is also trying to venture into profitable activities during the year, so as to have maximized return of its capital. 3 Page 3 of 5 Financial Performance In FY 2015, Yantra's total revenues declined by 48.7% to INR crores versus last year. It registered an increase in the operating income by 63.3% to INR 0.49 crores versus last year, due to which there was growth in operating margins by 197 basis points to 2.9% versus last year. The company registered a net profit of INR 0.34 crores, registering an increase in net profit by 54.5% year-on-years. Revenue Growth Key Risks Yantra is exposed to intense competition, falling commissions and the entry of several big players. It also faces other risks including inflation, interest rates, liquidity issues, global commodity prices, fiscal and current account deficit. The other factors that hamper the profitability and operation of company includes increase in crude oil prices in the international markets will affect the availability of raw material. Gross Margin Competitors Dwitiya Trading Ltd and Riba Textiles Ltd are the two key competitors of the company. Riba is a towel manufacturing company. Its manufacturing unit is situated 100 kilometres from New Delhi in the State of Haryana. It manufactures and exports towels. It offers yarn dyed, plain dyed, embroidered, printed border bath towels and bath robes and beach towels, among others. In FY 2015, the total revenue of the company grew by 25.6% to INR crores versus a year ago. Dwitiya Trading Ltd was incorporated in 1978 and is engaged into trading of securities, and also invests in shares, debentures and bonds. The company also trades in a variety of sarees through E-commerce business. It has its registered office located in Kolkata. Out of the total turnover, 56.1% is from trading of sarees and remaining from interest on loans. Dwitiya Trading s revenue declined by 70.1% to INR 0.41 crores versus last year. 4 Page 4 of 5 Industry Overview The textile industry plays an important role in the Indian economy and is a major export earner for the country by export of cotton yarn and valueadded products such as fabrics and garments. part from providing basic necessities of life, the textile industry also plays a vital role through its contribution to industrial output, employment generation, and the export earnings of the country. The sector contributes about 14% to industrial production; 4% to the country s gross domestic product; 13.5% to export earnings; and is the second largest provider of employment after agriculture and provides direct employment to over 35 million people. Hence the growth and all round development of this industry has a direct bearing on the improvement of the economy of the nation. The revival of economy in the overseas market will add stimulus to the Industry. The industry depends upon availability of cotton at a stable price besides availability of uninterrupted supply of power from the State Controlled Electricity undertakings.
