This is a non-linked, non-participating, single premium decreasing term group life insurance plan offered to borrowers. The scheme covers the outstanding amount of loan as per the predefined schedule and is suited for all types of groups and associations. The product is well suited for all types of loans such as home loans, vehicle loans, education loans, personal loans, loans against property, business loans, consumer durable and farm equipment loans. Avail high coverage without medicals up to the Non Underwriting Limit. Procedures are hassle free and are not cumbersome in nature. Existing borrowers of the financial institution can also be covered for the outstanding loan period subject to underwriting norms. In case of joint borrowers or co-borrowers, the borrowers are insured on Joint Life First Death basis or Loan Share Percentage basis.

3 During the moratorium period, the cover will be equal to the chosen sum assured. In case of prepayment/foreclosure of the loan by the member, the member may request for the surrender of the insurance cover and the surrender value shall be paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Policy. Tax benefits get under section 80C and 10(10D) of the Income Tax Act, Benefits in Detail The benefits shall be payable as per the Plan (A or B) chosen by the MPH or Insured Member at the inception of the Policy. The benefit will be payable to the nominee/legal heirs in case of death and to the insured member in case of Accidental Total & Permanent Disability or Terminal illness. However, the Insured Member shall have an option to issue an authorization in favor of the Company to the effect that in the unfortunate event of Insured Member s death during the Coverage Term, the claim amount, if any payable under the Master Policy shall first be utilized for payment to Master Policyholder for the outstanding loan amount as specified in Master Policyholder s Credit Account Statement and the balance amount, if any, payable under the Master Policy will be payable to Insured Member s Nominees / legal heirs. This option shall however be applicable only for certain categories of Master Policyholders. The eligible categories of Master Policyholders are Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulated Scheduled Banks (including Co-operative Banks), NBFC s having certificate of registration from RBI and National Housing Board (NHB) regulated Housing Finance Companies in accordance with IRDAI guidelines as amended from time to time. In all other cases, the death benefit shall be payable to the respective Nominee (s) / Legal heir(s). Plan A: Base Life Cover Events Death Terminal Illness How and when benefits are payable On death of the insured Member during the coverage term On diagnosis of a Terminal Illness Condition Maturity Not applicable Nil Surrender On full prepayment/ foreclosure of the loan. Plan B: Enhanced Life Cover Events Death / Accidental Total and Permanent Disability Terminal Illness How and when benefits are payable On Death or Accidental Total and Permanent Disability (ATPD), whichever is earlier, of the insured Member during the coverage term On diagnosis of Terminal Illness Condition Benefit Amount Outstanding Loan amount as per the benefit schedule as on the date of insured event. A lump sum benefit equal to 6 Equated Monthly Installments (EMI)/ Monthly loan installment payable to insured member as per the benefit schedule over and above the benefit payable on death of insured member. Surrender value shall become payable Benefit Amount Outstanding Loan amount as per the benefit schedule as on the date of insured event. A lump sum benefit equal to 6 Equated Monthly Installments (EMI)/ Monthly loan installment payable to insured member as per the benefit schedule over and above the benefit payable on death of insured member. Maturity Not applicable Nil Surrender On full prepayment/ Surrender value shall foreclosure of the loan become payable All the policy benefits are subject to policy being in force.

4 Other Features 1. Joint Borrowers/Co-borrowers If there is more than one borrower for the same loan, the cover can be offered on a Joint Life First Death Basis or Loan Share Percentage Basis. The maximum number of co-borrowers that can be covered will be two. a. Joint Life First Death Basis: The borrowers are jointly insured for 100% of the sum assured. On the occurrence of insured event (viz. Death or ATPD as applicable) for any one of the borrowers, the benefits as per the applicable Plan will be paid and the coverage for the surviving borrower shall cease thereafter. In case of diagnosis of Terminal Illness, the lump sum benefit equal to 6 Equated Monthly Installments (EMI) as per the benefit schedule will be payable to insured member and this benefit will be payable only once during the coverage term on the first occurrence of terminal illness to any of the borrowers. If both borrowers die simultaneously, then the applicable benefits shall be paid only once. On payment of the applicable benefits under this provision, the insurance coverage of both borrowers under this Policy shall immediately and automatically ceases. In case the claim of any of the borrowers under Joint Life First Death Basis, is repudiated (including death due to suicide within one year of Coverage Commencement Date), the coverage of the surviving borrower shall continue as per the Policy terms and conditions. b. Loan Share Percentage Basis: Each co-borrower is insured up to his/her share of the sum assured in the proportion of the loan taken. On the death of one of these borrowers whose insurance coverage under the Policy is in force, the Company will pay the percentage of the Coverage Sum Assured and applicable benefits specified in the Certificate of Insurance. On payment being made on the borrowers Death or Accidental Total & Permanent Disability, the insurance coverage of that borrower shall immediately and automatically terminate, but the insurance coverage of the surviving co-borrower shall continue. In case of diagnosis of Terminal Illness, the lump sum benefit equal to 6 Equated Monthly Installments (EMI) as per the benefit schedule will be payable to insured member for the respective share of the sum assured in proportion of the loan taken. 2. Rebates There is a set-back of 2 years for female lives on the male rates. For risk cover on Joint Life First Death Basis, the premium for the individual Members will depend on their individual ages and genders. A rebate of 15% would be given on the premium chargeable for the younger Member. 3. Moratorium Period Benefit In cases where the date of the loan disbursement and the commencement date of loan repayment are different, the member will be eligible for the moratorium period benefit, during which the risk cover will be equal to the chosen sum assured. The maximum duration (maximum Moratorium Period) under the same can be 5 years. Under this benefit, the risk cover commences immediately after the loan is disbursed but before the actual loan repayment begins. In case of diagnosis of Terminal Illness during moratorium period, Terminal Illness benefit shall be payable. For example in case of education loan, the repayment installments start only after the study period has been completed. However, the Member is covered during this period as well. In this case the risk cover will be equal to the chosen sum assured till the start of the loan repayment during the moratorium period and starts decreasing on the commencement of repayment/emis. 4. Complete Prepayment/Foreclosure of the loan or Surrender of Master Policy In case of surrender of Master Policy at the request of Master Policyholder at any time, the existing Members will have option to: o Continue the risk cover as per benefit schedule, or o Terminate the risk cover and take the surrender value.

5 The Members who choose to continue the cover will be serviced by the Company till their coverage is terminated. In case of full prepayment / fore closure of the loan, the Member may request for surrender of his membership at any time during the cover term. Cover Continuation Option: On full prepayment of the loan, a Member can choose to continue the cover in the scheme as per the existing terms and conditions. 5. Surrender Benefit The scheme shall acquire surrender value immediately loan amount by the insured member, the Member may request for surrender of his membership anytime during the cover. The surrender value would be computed as per the following formula: 60% of Premium paid * (Unexpired coverage term/ Total coverage term) * (Coverage In-force / Initial Coverage Amount) Where, Coverage In-force means the benefit amount as per the Benefit Schedule as on the monthly plan anniversary immediately before the date of surrender of the policy. On foreclosure or full prepayment of the outstanding Eligibility Member s Age at Entry (last birthday) Minimum Plan A: 14 years for education loan 18 years for other loans Plan B: 18 years for all loans 65 years Maximum Coverage Expiry Age (last birthday) Policy Term 2 years Home Loan 30 years Education / Loans against property, Business Loans, Commercial Vehicle Loans 15 years Car/Two Wheeler/ Three Wheeler/ Personal/Consumer Durable/Tractor/Farm Equipment 10 years; Policy Term can be chosen in multiples of 1 year Premium Payment Single Premium Term Sum Assured `10,000 Plan A: Base Life Cover - No limit subject to underwriting Plan B: Enhanced Life Cover `2 crores per member Group Size 50 members No limit #Age as on last birthday

6 What is Non Underwriting Limit (NUL)? This is the limit determined by the Company based on the characteristics of the group up to which no medical evidence is required. Above the NUL, the acceptance will be subject to medical evidence as per the Company s underwriting rules and in case of substandard lives, extra premium would be charged. Will the amount of new/additional loan availed by the insured member be covered under the scheme? The amount of the new/additional loan will not be covered under the existing cover. A fresh cover can be issued for the new/additional loan amount under the same scheme. What are the tax benefits?* All claim payments are considered as non-taxable receipts u/s 10(10D). * Tax benefits will be applicable as per prevailing tax laws. Tax laws are subject to change. Please refer to your tax consultant for details What are the exclusions in this scheme? 1. If an insured Member commits suicide, whether sane or insane at the time, within one year from the Coverage Commencement Date as stated in the Certificate of Insurance, then the liability of the Company shall be limited to a refund of the 80% of the premium received. 2. In case of Accidental Total and Permanent Disability arising directly or indirectly from any of the following are specifically excluded: a. The life assured taking part in any hazardous sport or pastimes (including unting, mountaineering, racing, steeple chasing, bungee jumping, etc.). b. The Life Assured flying in any kind of aircraft, other than as a bona-fide passenger (whether fare-paying or not) on an aircraft of a licensed airline. c. HIV or antibodies to such a virus. d. Self-inflicted injury, suicide or attempted suicide-whether sane or insane. e. Under the influence or abuse of drugs, alcohol, narcotics or psychotropic substance not prescribed by a registered medical practitioner. f. Service in any military, air-force, naval, paramilitary. g. War, civil commotion, invasion, terrorism, hostilities (whether war be declared or not). h. The Life Assured taking part in any strike, industrial dispute, riot, etc. i. The Life Assured taking part in any criminal or illegal activity with criminal intent. j. Nuclear reaction, radiation or nuclear or chemical contamination. When will the insurance cover terminate? The cover would cease from the date of termination of the coverage in accordance with the scheme rules. Nomination In this Policy, Nomination is effected as per Section 39 of Insurance Act, 1938 as amended from time to time. Free Look Cancellation You will have a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy document to review the terms and conditions of the policy and where you disagree to any of these terms and conditions, you have an option to return the policy stating the reasons for objection. On receipt of the letter along the policy documents, the company will refund the premiums paid, subject to the deduction of proportionate risk premium for the period on cover and any expenses incurred by the Company on medical examination of the members and stamp fee. This policy will not be sold through Distance Marketing mode.

7 Section 41 of the Insurance Act, 1938 as amended from time to time: Prohibition of rebate 1. No person shall allow or offer to allow, either directly or indirectly, as an inducement to any person to take out or renew or continue an insurance in respect of any kind of risk relating to lives or property in India, any rebate of the whole or part of the commission payable or any rebate of the premium shown on the policy, nor shall any person taking out or renewing or continuing a policy accept any rebate, except such rebate as may be allowed in accordance with the published prospectuses or tables of the insurer. 2. Any person making default in complying with the provisions of this section shall be punishable with fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees. The brochure gives the salient features for the product.
