1 WELCOME TO THE TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL BASS ASSOCIATION! FIRST OF ALL, we want to thank students, parents, captains and club advisors for making the season such a great success! We presented 114 scholarships which totaled over $130,000 for students to start their college careers. The THSBA is now the largest high school tournament bass fishing organization in Texas. We are excited to start our fifth year with many exciting changes. This year our organization is providing $1,000,000 liability insurance and $25,000 excess medical insurance for our members (please see frequently asked questions page below). Membership is $60 total per student for the year September 2017 thru August of 2018 which will include insurance and membership. With the tremendous increase of clubs and teams in the THSBA, we saw that we had to add more divisions. This in itself will keep driving time down for open tournaments and make them more manageable for our staff. We now will have six divisions, three regional championships and one state championship. With the increase in the number of open tournaments, the THSBA saw the need to update and increase our ability to put on multiple tournaments on the same date, so we have purchased two new weigh in trailers. Tournament entry fees will be $60 per team to help grow the THSBA. We have added a full time administrative staff member to handle membership link tournament entries, and processing of on-line merchandise sales. We will have a merchandise on our website with an order form and instructions for ordering. Our merchandise will still be available for purchase at the tournaments as well. Please keep in contact with changes in tournament sites, special announcements, entry due dates, and general information by checking our website, or on our Facebook page. The Tournament Director will be the contact person at each of our tournaments for any last minute changes to events. Please note: ALL membership, captain information and tournament entry forms will now be sent to: THSBA, P.O. Box 1498, Forney Texas, Phone: Our new address is: bass@thsba.net

ANSWER: This policy does not replace the boat owners need to purchase liability insurance. We require boat captains to have $300,000 of liability insurance. The boat owner s policy is primary. I.E. in your meeting minutes, etc. that it is an official function and it s covered. Insurance certificates are only needed when a 3 rd party not connected with the THSBA, is requiring them of you to hold an event. 10. Is this $1,000,000 for each occurrence? ANSWER: Yes 11. Can an individual who is a THSBA member be sued by another individual THSBA member? ANSWER: Yes, however, this policy does not provide coverage for suits between individual members. 12.
