Riley Oakland, CA Senior Vice President 1221 Broadway, Suite 900 Oakland, CA Fax Released: March 30, 2018 On March 15, 2018, members of the convened for WCIRB s 102 nd Annual Meeting. Upon confirming that a quorum of Regular Members was present, David Bellusci, WCIRB Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary, called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM. I. Welcome and Comments David Bellusci, WCIRB Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary provided the membership with an overview of the WCIRB s recent accomplishments as well as an update on the WCIRB s 2018 initiatives. In his remarks, Mr. Bellusci emphasized that the WCIRB s continued success depends on the strength of the partnership it maintains with its members and he thanked the WCIRB membership for its involvement and support. In closing, Mr. Bellusci also thanked the members of the WCIRB Nominating Committee for their service in supporting the important work of the Governing Committee and the Classification and Rating Committee. II. Election of Committee Members Dave Mitchell, Chair of the WCIRB Nominating Committee, provided the membership with the report from the WCIRB Nominating Committee. In his report, Mr. Mitchell reviewed the nominating process and the criteria that the Committee used in recommending a slate of candidates for the Governing Committee and the Classification and Rating Committee. A. Election of Members to the Governing Committee Mr. Mitchell reminded the membership that the terms of three members Oak River Insurance Company, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Zenith Insurance Company had expired and that their successors needed to be elected for terms running from the 2018 Annual Meeting to the 2021 Annual Meeting. Mr. Mitchell advised the membership that the Nominating Committee recommended that Pacific Compensation Insurance Company, Zenith Insurance Company and Zurich American Insurance Company be elected to serve for three-year terms that will expire on the date of the Annual Meeting in As there were no further nominations, a motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously passed by those present and voting to elect Pacific Compensation Insurance Company, Zenith Insurance Company and Zurich American Insurance Company to the Governing Committee for three-year terms that will expire on the date of the 2021 Annual Meeting. 1

3 The following WCIRB members will serve on the Governing Committee for 2018: Everest National Insurance Company Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company Pacific Compensation Insurance Company Preferred Employers Insurance Company Travelers Property Casualty Company of America State Compensation Insurance Fund Zenith Insurance Company Zurich American Insurance Company B. Election of Members to the Classification and Rating Committee Mr. Mitchell reminded the membership that the terms of two members Security National Insurance Company and Travelers Indemnity Company had expired and that their successors needed to be elected for terms running from the 2018 Annual Meeting to the 2021 Annual Meeting. Mr. Mitchell advised the membership that the Nominating Committee recommended that Preferred Employers Insurance Company and Security National Insurance Company be elected to serve for three-year terms that will expire on the date of the 2021 Annual Meeting. As there were no further nominations, a motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously passed by those present and voting to elect Preferred Employers Insurance Company and Security National Insurance Company to the Classification and Rating Committee for three-year terms that will expire on the date of the 2021 Annual Meeting.
