Please be prepared for whatever weather the heavens may bestow upon this event. Hotels: Available in Cordelia, Suisun City and Fairfield Directions: From I-80: Take the Highway 12 exit and Turn right at Grizzly Island Road, and follow this road to the hunt test site (approximately a 30 minute drive from Hwy 12). See enclosed map Rules of Grizzly Island Wildlife Area 1. Overnight camping allowed only in trailers, motor homes, or campers and at the test site only. No hookups available. 2. Parking is allowed only at the check station. No roadside parking. 3. All dog feces and waste must be removed from the parking area. 4. Only gas barbeques are permitted. Barbeques using briquettes are prohibited. 5. Only non-toxic shot may be used. POSSSESSION of lead shot in the field is prohibited. Other Information 1. Water is limited so be sure to bring enough for you and your animals 2. All handlers and others in the field must wear blaze orange. 3. EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN AT THE RANGER STATION 4. A Daily fee must be paid if you are over 15 and do not have a valid California hunting license or an annual wildlife pass. 5. All entrants must check in with the hunt test secretary immediately upon arrival. 6. All entrants and spectators who enter the hunt test grounds must fill out and sign the enclosed liability statement. Additional copies will be available on the ISCP website and from the hunt test secretary. No dog whose owners or handlers are present will be allowed to run until this statement is complete and in the hands of the hunt test secretary. 7. I,, acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to IRISH SETTER CLUB OF THE PACIFIC, INC.(ISCP) to participate in hunting test activities ( field events ) sponsored by ISCP, its officers and members, to be held at Grizzly Island Wildlife Area, Suisun, California. 2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I am aware that field events are a hazardous activity and involve inherent risks and dangers, which could cause serious injury or death, including the following risks: the discharge by gunners and others of firearms with live ammunition; the presence of wild game either as the object of the trial or indigenous to the trial grounds; the use and presence of horses and dogs of unknown temperaments, degrees of training and control by their respective owners and handlers; and the use of motor vehicles on and off the field event grounds by various persons (and who may or may not have liability insurance). I understand that these risks and others not specifically enumerated herein exist both during the actual field event and at other times before and after the event while the grounds are occupied by ISCP for purposes of conducting the field event over a period of one or more days to its conclusion. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved, I hereby accept any and all risks of injury or death, and I verify my understanding and intent to do so by placing my initials here:. 3. RELEASE: As consideration for being permitted by ISCP, its officers and members, to participate in these field event activities and use their facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, beneficiaries, guardians, and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property of ISCP, or any of its officers or members, or any of ISCP s agents and employees such as judges, marshals, and gunners, or the owner or supplier of any of the horses, vehicles and equipment used in these activities, for injury or damage resulting from negligence of any officer, member, employee, agent, or contractor of ISCP, arising out of my participation in the field event or my presence at the field event grounds. This includes reimbursement of all legal cost and attorneys fees incurred by ISCP and the other indemnified parties, or any of them, for the defense of any such actions or cross-actions. This obligation to defend and indemnify ISCP and the other indemnified parties applies even if ISCP, and or its officers, members, employees, agents and contractors, negligently contributed to the occurrence causing the personal injuries, death or property damage.
