2 1768 Hubbell Homestead s Venue Features: Post and beam country amenities barn with reception area, restrooms, large suite to prepare for wedding day, open porch overlooking the Vermont Green Mountains and Bennington Battle Monument. A Large (60x90) tent with window sidewalls and lighting package that includes canister lighting on each pole and perimeter floor lighting. Patio overlooking the Vermont Green Mountains with stone walkways. Use of Hubbell Homestead grounds and Colgate Mansion lot for photography. Event staff for onsite assistance. Catering kitchen equipped with new appliances, ice machine, refrigeration, stove, convection ovens, etc. Trash removal and storage area for all service items. Paved parking area with lighting for guests. 2
3 Hubbell weddings Let us help make your wedding day a uniquely memorable experience! From sumptuous gourmet breakfasts to evening cocktail receptions to wedding day feasts, our onsite event supervision service will attend to every detail! Event Extras: On-site Ceremony: $550 Guest Suite: $225 per night Bon Fire: $175 Rehearsal Dinner/Brunch: $150 per hour with 3 hour min Site Fee: $5,750 for events up to 100 guests +$45 per person over 100 guests +$35 per person over 100 guests with final guest count between $25 per person over 100 guests with final guest count over 200 3
4 1768 Hubbell Homestead Guidelines Contracting parties will provide Hubbell Homestead s event coordinator with all event details (e.g. caterer, band/dj, special lighting, and timing of event activities). These details will be reviewed for final approval by the Homestead s event coordinator. Contracting parties shall, prior to event, provide a certificate of insurance on a general public liability insurance policy; make sure their caterer provides the Hubbell Homestead with a certificate evidencing that caterer has a current liability insurance policy and confirmation of a valid commercial caterer s license. If caterer is responsible for alcohol on premises a current Vermont alcohol license will be provided as well. Ceremonies on-site with a guest count of 125 and over will be required to rent additional chairs for ceremony purposes only, client will not be able to use chairs for both ceremony and reception. One or more of the Hubbell Homestead s staff members will be present during all events to answer questions or to respond to any emergencies. The Hubbell Homestead is not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, articles left on the premises at any time during your stay. This includes any property belonging to you, your guests or vendors. The Hubbell Homestead requires contracting parties to provide enclosed container for cards. This may be a birdcage, a box with small opening, or other enclosed container. Fees assessed by the Hubbell Homestead cover use of the Homestead s Country Amenities Barn and Tent, adjacent property and parking. The client is responsible for the costs of food, beverages, linen, table and chair rental, musicians, flowers, special services, additional tenting, ceremony chairs, etc. The Hubbell Homestead requires that any special lighting or lanterns to be hung in the tent will be done so by the service rental company. No rice, confetti or similar material may be thrown. Instead we suggest rose petals, dried flowers, or soap bubbles. Your cooperation in maintaining the dignity and cleanliness of the Homestead and grounds is greatly appreciated. A Please ask any questions with regard B to the guidelines. C Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings on Hubbell Homestead property. Designated areas will be provided. Fees are subject to change without notice but not after a contract have been signed by Hubbell Homestead. Additional fees will be charged for any damages that may occur to buildings, tent and grounds caused during your event by you, your guests, agents and employees. Performance of this Agreement is subject to acts of God, disaster, government authority or other emergency any one of which may make performance impossible or illegal for the Homestead to provide the facilities/services for Client s event. The Homestead shall not be responsible for power disruptions. Contracting party will have exclusive use of 1768 Hubbell Homestead venue from 8 AM until 10 PM. Preliminary guest count must be provided 14 days before event. Final guest count due at least 72 hours before event. D E F 4

Most homeowner s policies will extend their liability off premises, which means, their homeowners liability will extend to the location where the wedding takes place. You will need to call your current agent and see if this is an option. Included in this handbook is a copy of an example how the insurance binder should look. This coverage is offered with Renters/Tenants policies as well. (Please note: homeowner s liability will exclude liquor liability, which should be provided by your caterer.) If the insured has an umbrella policy, make sure it is listed on the binder. If for some reason the homeowner s/tenants insurance will not extend liability and/or you need additional coverage, Travelers and others have come out with wedding insurance. Our insurance agent would be happy to quote a certificate of insurance binder for you event as well. 5
