1 Conditions of Entry: 6 th Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée Abbreviations and terminology Abbreviations and specific terms are used in this document for brevity. Where contextually a plural is implied, the abbreviation should be considered to represent the plural. Abbreviations and terminology used in this document are outlined below: Abbreviation Definition PAP PAP2018 AACC 6 th Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée 6 th Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée Audax Australia Cycling Club Inc. RO PAP2018 Ride organizer Entry requirements 1. All Entrants must accept the Conditions of Entry. 2. Entrants must be 16 years old or over on 1st October If the Entrant is under the age of 18 on 1 st October 2018, a Parent or Guardian of the Entrant must accept the Conditions of Entry on behalf of the Entrant as well as any other conditions imposed by the event organizer.

2 4. The RO may, in their absolute discretion and without giving reasons for their decision, accept or refuse an application for registration. 5. A 600km or more qualifying ride from November 1th Modes of transport in Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée 6. Entrants are to ride any type of cycle that is propelled solely by human effort. It must be roadworthy and pass a pre-ride inspection. 7. Entrants must comply with the lighting requirements as set out in the AACC Ride Rules. See for details. 8. All riders on multi-person cycles must register. 9. The use of a hitch bike, baby buggy or any other type of passenger carrying apparatus is not permitted. Private support vehicles 10. Private support vehicles are permitted on the PAP2018 course, but can only offer support at designated controls. 11. The RO & official volunteers reserve the right to direct drivers of private support vehicles if it is deemed necessary, for whatever reason. Comply with Road Rules 12. During PAP2018, Entrants must comply with all traffic and road laws, all directions issued by Police and all instructions given by officials and volunteers during PAP2018. Failure to do so may result in removal of the Entrant from the ride. Comply with Audax Australia Ride Rules and any PAP2018 Rules 13. During PAP2018, Entrants must comply with the Audax Australia Ride Rules and/ where applicable, PAP2018 Rules. See for details. Common sense and courtesy when riding 14. The Entrant when participating in PAP2018 must ride and otherwise behave in a safe and responsible manner at all times. Must exercise caution on all public roads and other thoroughfares and ride defensively and courteously. Preparation, training, health and safety 15. The Entrant is responsible for ensuring that they are adequately and appropriately prepared, both physically and mentally, for the PAP2018. If the Entrant

3 has any health issues or doubts prior to the event, they should seek appropriate medical advice. 16. The Entrant's bicycle needs to be in good working condition. Bicycles used in PAP2018 need to pass a safety check on arrival. If, in the opinion of the ride organizer or bike inspector a bicycle is unsafe, or does not comply, when required, with the PAP2018 Rules it cannot be used. 17. Entrants consent to receiving any medical treatment that the ride organiser or their authorized representatives (including emergency services providers) consider reasonably necessary or desirable. Acknowledgment and acceptance of conditions of entry 18. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that participation in PAP2018 is inherently hazardous and that they participate in the PAP2018 at their own risk. The Entrant accepts the following Conditions of Entry: I accept these conditions of entry and have read in full the Conditions of Entry, the Ride Rules of Audax Australia Cycling Club and the PAP2018 Rules, which apply to the ride that I am entering. I understand that cycling can be a hazardous activity, particularly in traffic or among pedestrians. I accept that when riding I am at risk and may suffer or cause injury or property loss or damage. I will take care to avoid injury or damage to others and myself. I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and sporting equipment during PAP2018 and its related activities. I confirm that I and any children in my care have sufficient competence and experience to participate safely. I accept that Audax Australia limits its liability. It is a condition of participating in PAP2018 that I waive, to the extent permitted by law, any claim, right or cause of action which: I personally; and each minor in my care; and my heirs, executors and administrators and those of each child in my care may have in contract and civil wrongs law, arising from any personal injury, damage or loss arising out of the ride. I accept that this release from liability operates in contract law in favour of Audax Australia, and all officers, members, volunteers and employees of Audax Australia and all sponsors of the ride and operates whether the damage is due to any act or neglect of any of them. If an entrant is under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must accept the conditions of entry by clicking 'I accept the Conditions of Entry' on the Entry Form and paying with their credit card. Closing Dates for entries

4 19. Online entries close on 31 st MAY 2018 or until ride is full. Change ride, DNF or cancellation of entry 20. An Entrant may change ride options by advising the RO and paying any difference in the entry fees, so long as the event is not full. Refunds will not be given for change of mind. 21. Neither the Ride Entry Fee nor any other fees levied in relation to PAP2018 shall be refunded in the event that a participant commences the event but fails to finish. 22. Entrants unable to participate may seek to have their entry in the ride cancelled. Upon receipt of a written request the RO will proceed to remunerate the person as follows: Withdrawal prior to 30 th June 2018, 75% refund of entry fee. Withdrawal prior to 31st July 2018, 50% refund of entry fee. Withdrawal prior to 31 st August % refund of entry fee. Withdrawal after 1 st September, No refunds. Communications 23. Communications in relation to PAP2018 will principally be via . Entrants should therefore provide a valid address. If an Entrant does not have access to an address, the Entrant should make every effort to read the Audax Australia PAP2018 website & social media which will be updated as necessary. 24. It is the Entrant's responsibility to read all information that is made available on the Audax Australia PAP2018 website, in s, newsletters and all other literature concerning the event. Variations to 6 th Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée 25. PAP2018 RO reserves the right, in their absolute discretion, to:. (a) Change, shorten or otherwise vary the route of any of the PAP2018 rides without notice (such change or variation is only likely to occur when fire, flood, road damage or other causes hinder access to the proposed route);. (b) Cancel, postpone, or change the time or place for the Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée or any of the PAP2018 rides for any reason and at any time

5 prior to the commencement of the event; and. (c) Audax Australia and the PAP2018 RO is not responsible for or liable to the Entrant for any loss, damage, cost or expense, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise and howsoever or whosesoever incurred by the Entrant resulting from any such action taken by AACC or the PAP2018 RO. Cancellation of the 6 th Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée and related events 26. The PAP2018 will be cancelled only if the PAP2018 RO considers the proposed event to be unsafe, or if they are directed to do so by the relevant authorities. 27. In the event that PAP2018 or any of its rides are cancelled, Entrants to the cancelled rides may be offered refunds of Entry fees at a level to be determined or otherwise compensated. Privacy and photography 28. Other than a request from an authorised authority, any personal information collected by the PAP2018 RO is used solely for the purpose of running PAP2018 and inviting people for future events. No personal information is given to any other party for any purpose. 29. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that they may be photographed or filmed during the Event and consents to Audax Australia and the RO using the Entrant s picture and likeness contained in any photographs or film for publicising the ride and for promoting any future ride to be staged by Audax Australia in the various regions of Australia or for other purposes by Audax Australia. Limited liability 30. Perth Albany Perth 1200km Randonnée and associated activities are outdoors and will proceed notwithstanding poor weather conditions during the ride. Audax Australia and PAP2018 are not liable to any Entrant for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind. 31. The RO reserves the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse to allow an Entrant to participate in PAP2018 or to remove an Entrant from the ride for breach of these terms and conditions or if they otherwise determines it appropriate to do so. 32. Audax Australia is not liable to any Entrant for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind, including but not limited to, the refund of the entry fee, including when the Entrant is denied access to or is removed from PAP2018 for any reason.

Audax Australia and Audax Western Australia Region means Audax Australia Cycling Club Incorporated, an incorporated association registered in Victoria, Registration number A N, ABN and includes where appropriate Audax Australia Cycling Club employees, agents, contractors, officials and volunteers.
