1 1 Star RV Motorhome Standard Rates AUSTRALIA Terms and Conditions Valid 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 Summary of Rental Conditions This document contains a summary of our rental conditions. The full details of the rental contract do apply. Rates quoted are in Australian dollars. Rates Include 24hr Roadside Assistance unlimited kilometres kitchen, general living and personal linen kit with linen exchange service extra driver fee valet service and gas bottle exchange service (48 hours notice required) Wifi (limits apply) Drop and Go Star Pack, which includes Nil Liability ($250 bond applies, please see terms and conditions) unlimited windscreen and tyres undercarriage/overhead damage (covered for accidental damage) GPS initial set of toilet chemicals pre-purchased gas bottle baby or booster seats (with prior request; only available with certain vehicle types) camp chairs and table *Valet Service Guests on hire for may visit any Star RV branch while on hire to have their vehicle cleaned, oil and water checked. Guests must call 48 hours prior to arrange this service. *Freshly laundered linen bedding Includes pillow, pillowcase, sheet and towel per person and one doona (duvet) per bed. Star RV clients may also exchange their linen and bedding during their rental at any Star RV Branch. Clients must call 48 hours prior to arrange this service. *Gas Bottle Exchange Service Every 14 days of hire Guests can visit a Star RV branch to exchange their used gas bottle for a full gas bottle. *General Equipment

2 2 Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary general equipment (such as pegs and clothes line, dustpan/brush, fire extinguisher, bucket/hose and broom. *Kitchen and Personal Kits Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary living equipment (such as bedding, cooking equipment, eating utensils, bath and tea towels.) Electrical appliances are supplied in vehicles that have 240V. *Drop and Go Simply return the vehicle neat and tidy and we ll take care of the rest including vehicle, cabin and bathroom cleaning. *RV introduction and show through On pick-up, you will be provided with a thorough RV show through with all the necessary information you need to know about the interior and exterior features of your RV. This ensures you are comfortable and confident with your RV before starting your road trip. Please ensure you arrive at the depot by 4pm at the very latest to ensure enough time to show your through your RV. Long Hire Discount 21+ days - 5% off daily rates Multiple rentals are eligible for the long-term discount. There are no further long-term discounts available on rates. Rental Charges Rentals are charged per calendar day. The day of the pick-up is calculated as the first day of rental and the day of return is calculated as the last day of rental. Vehicles must be returned within branch hours. Standard Rates - When a rental moves from one rate season into the next, the calculation is based on both rates. Flex Rates - The flex rate that is available at the time of booking for the first rental day determines the daily rental rate for the entire rental period up to the 7th day. All rental days from the 8th day on are counted as a new booking and the flex rate that applies for the 8th day will be used from then on, the flex rate that applies for the 15th rental day will be used from then, etc. Flex Rates can change on a weekly basis, based on supply and demand until a confirmed booking has been made. Flex rates are for new bookings and don t replace any other rates or specials and they can t be combined with anther rate scheme. Cancellation of any other rate scheme and rebooking with flex rates or vice versa, is not possible.

3 3 Multiple Rentals We love to reward our long-term road trippers so consecutive rentals, within a 3-month period, in United States of America, Australia and New Zealand on Star RV, Apollo, Cheapa Campa and Hippie can be combined to obtain a long-term discount rate. If drop-off of an RV and pick-up of a new RV occurs on the same day then a day will be charged for each RV. Multiple rentals are considered separate rentals under the one-way fee and minimum rental period conditions. Driver s Licence and Minimum Age For the safety of our guests a current and full motor vehicle driver licence is required to be shown at pick-up and the driver needs to be present. If the driver licence is not in English then we require accredited English translation or an International Driver Permit. For travel in the Northern Territory an International Driving Permit is required along with the foreign driver licence. Drivers must be over the age of 21, have a full motor vehicle driver licence that has been held for at least two years and the licence must be valid for the entire booking duration. Rate Calculation Not all rates and terms apply to group bookings (any rental that consists of four or more vehicles travelling together). Requests for convoy bookings should be directed to campers@gallivantingoz.com.au. The rates are subject to change on a weekly basis, until a confirmed booking is made. Booking Amendments If you wish to make any changes to your booking (including voluntary downgrade), the booking will be calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate that is valid at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher. There are no exceptions to this rule. The following situations are classified as booking alterations: Change of date for vehicle pick up or drop off Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick up or drop off Change of vehicle category Name change Change of rate scheme including special rates If the rate scheme or RV category is changed, this is considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the original booking. If there are any last-minute alternations made within 14 days of pick-up we will be happy to accommodate these, however due to the short notice if the holiday is shortened the number of days originally booked will be charged. If the pick-up or drop-off location is altered within 14 days of pick up, a relocation fee may also apply. Please note that amendments may result in the daily rental rate to be recalculated at the rate applicable on the date of the amendment for the entire rental period. Booking Amendment Fee The first change only is at no charge. The first change may involve several aspects of the reservation. The subsequent change are at AU$25 per aspect, per change.

4 4 Rental Charges Rental days are charged per calendar day. The day of pick-up is calculated as the first day of rental and the day of return is calculated as the last day of rental. Vehicles must be returned within branch hours. Change of Drop Off Destination If you need to change your drop-off destination after pick-up, you should get in touch with the friendly Star RV Roadside team who will be happy to help. They will let you know if the change is possible and if a relocation fee applies. Rental Extension while on the road If you want to extend the rental whilst on hire, you should get in touch with the friendly Star RV Roadside team. They will let you know if the change is possible and advise of additional costs. Rental extension is subject to fleet availability. The extra costs (calculated on the current rate of the day) of an extended rental must be paid by credit card inclusive of all taxes and surcharge, over the telephone or at a Star RV Branch immediately on confirmation of the rental extension. Any long-term discounts in place, will continue to apply to the booking. Change of RV We understand guests needs are different and therefore our RVs can be requested by category, however not by make or model. We always do our best to accommodate requests, however should the RV booked be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will substitute the booked RV with an alternative available RV at time of pick-up, at no extra cost. Any changes made to the booked RV and agreed to by the guest do not entitle the guest to a refund. In the event of no alternative RV being available to the guest, StarRV's liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge or in the case of mechanical failure (unless caused by the guest) the remainder of the hire period. Pre-register Online You have the ability to register online in advance on By completing the required pick up information ahead of the pick-up date you will experience a smoother and quicker RV collection process. Getting to and from the depot Branches are conveniently located near major airports, making pick-up and drop-off even easier for our guests. Guests can arrange transport to and from the airport via taxi or uber. Rental Duration The minimum rental for all vehicles is five days when the pick up and drop off is at the same branch location. Minimum booking periods may also apply during peak periods such as Christmas, Easter, Bathurst motor racing, etc. Usually there will be a 10-day minimum rental period applies during the period of 15 December 2019 to 5 January Minimum rental periods are subject to change during other peak periods.

A one-way rental fee of $165 is charged for one-way rentals. ADL 7 BNE 14 7 CNS MEL PER SYD Travel Restrictions Not all RVs are suitable for all driving situations, so it s important the right RV is chosen for the travel planned. Star RV, at its discretion may restrict RV travel in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period. If applicable, any further restrictions will be mentioned at pick-up. Guests are encouraged to contact Apollo Assist at if any concerns regarding road accessibility. Our RVs aren t equipped for the rougher terrain and cannot be driven on unsealed roads. Well maintained access roads which lead to recognised campgrounds and are less than 12 kilometres long are allowed. Star RV RVs can be driven North of Daintree River as long as written permission is obtained from Star RV prior to travel. Vehicles are NOT permitted to travel to Tasmania, on Fraser Island or Moreton Island. Vehicle Condition Vehicles must be returned with the interior cleaned and holding tanks emptied. The vehicles exterior does not require cleaning unless it is difficult to ascertain the condition of the vehicle on return. Fees will apply if the vehicle is not returned in the required condition.

6 6 Kilometres The motorhome includes unlimited kilometres, however Australia is a big place, so please for the safety of yourself and others, don t underestimate the time to drive between certain destinations. Returning the RV The RV is a home away from home and for comfort, we recommend it s kept tidy throughout the road trip. The RVs need to be returned to the branch as they were taken, with the interior cleaned and holding tanks emptied. The RV exterior does not require cleaning unless it s covered with excessive dirt or mud, making it difficult for the Star RV team to see its return condition. Repairs We understand that while on holiday the RV may require small repairs. So not to disrupt the road trip any further, if the damage was not caused by the guest, repairs up to $100 can be completed without authorisation and will be reimbursed. If repairs over $100 are needed, the Apollo Assist team should be informed prior to repair being completed. All RVs are enrolled in the Australian Automobile Association and 24hr mechanical emergency roadside assistance is available if needed simply contact Apollo Assist at Infringements and Administration Fees Star RV will pass on any charges the guest receives for traffic infringements, toll way or parking fines during their road trip. No one likes unexpected surprises or additional administration fees, so we ll only pass on to guests the exact amount of the fine or charge received. Animals Service animals are allowed to travel in the RVs with written permission from Star RV at time of booking. Smoking Our RVs are a smoke free zone, smoking is not allowed in any of our RVs. Payment at Branches For security reasons, Star RV will only accept credit card or debit card for rental charges paid on vehicle pick up or drop off. Cash payments will not be accepted at rental branches. The Bond on the vehicle is only payable at pick-up by Credit Card or Debit Credit Card. The Bond cannot be paid with a prepaid Credit Card. Credit Cards We only accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Union Pay. The following fees apply for the rental and any additional products (irrespective of the account chosen e.g. savings, credit, etc): Visa Debit card and MasterCard Debit card will incur an additional non-refundable 1% surcharge on any transaction. Visa and MasterCard will incur an additional non-refundable 2% surcharge on any transaction. American Express, Diners Club and Union Pay will incur an additional non-refundable 2.8% surcharge on any transaction. Fees are subject to change without notice.

7 7 Travel Insurance For peace of mind, we strongly recommend that all guests take out the highest level of private travel insurance. PROTECTION PACKAGE Personal Injury The RV has third party insurance cover and it is likely that any other vehicle involved in an accident also has third-party insurance. Depending on the circumstances of an accident, the guest may be entitled to claim for their personal injury against the third-party insurance of the party responsible for the accident. The extent of such third-party insurance varies in different States and Territories and Star RV strongly recommends that all passengers take out their own Personal Injury Travel Insurance. Property Damage The RV is insured for damage to it and damage to the property of a third party. However, the guest is responsible up to the amount of the applicable liability for damage to third party property, or to the RV. The guest is also responsible for the cost of the daily rate for the period the vehicle is being repaired. There is no refund for unused portion of the rental period. The Liability applies to each claim, not RV. The liability is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident is reported to Star RV by telephone on a credit card, not on return of the RV. Star RV reserves the right to charge the guest for any RV damage including Third Party property damage not reported but identified on return of the RV. Liability Options We understand that Star RV guests want a worry free holiday and therefore the best liability option is already included in daily rates with only a $250 Bond required. Bond The Bond is payable to Star RV by an open signed credit card imprint with an authorisation for $250. The credit card holder must be present to sign for the Bond when they pick-up the RV and is liable for any damage to the RV. The Bond is fully refundable provided terms are met. The RV simply needs to be returned on time and full of fuel to the Star RV branch location booked. Credit card refunds including bond refunds can take up to 14 working days depending on the guest s financial institution. If there is damage to the RV on its return or any other terms of the rental contract have not been met, the Bond will be used to cover the cost up to the amount of the relevant Liability. If the terms of the Rental Contract are not met and the Bond is not sufficient enough to cover the damage, extra costs will be charged. If a guest is continuing on with another Star RV booking, the Bond can be transferred to the next booking within Australia.

8 8 Exchange Rate / Currency Variations All transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. Refunds by credit card can take up to 14 working days depending on the guest s financial institution. Additional Products Camp Chairs - $17 each per rental (included in daily rental rate per number of guests travelling) Camp Table - $24 per rental (one included in daily rental rate) Heater/Fan - $15 per rental Toilet Chemicals - $2.50 each (initial set included in daily rental rate) Baby/Booster Seats - $35 per rental (Included in the daily rental rate) Please refer to the child restraints policy for full details not all Star RV motorhomes can accommodate baby/booster seats. Satellite Phone - $20 per day plus call charges. Must be pre-booked at least 7 days prior to pick up. First Aid Kits - A First Aid kit is supplied in every vehicle. If the seal is broken or the kit is not returned the kit becomes the property of the renter and a $50 fee is charged when the vehicle is returned. Extended Roadside Assistance - $4 per day capped at 25 days. This includes opening RV on lock out, lost key replacement up to $120, emergency towing up to 25km, jump start, flat tyre change using spare located in the RV, fuel delivery up to 20 litres. Non-mechanical issues are not covered and guests may be required to take the RV to a repairer. Additional packages may be offered on pick-up. Cancellation Fees Please note there is a AU$100 administration fee charged by Gallivanting Oz should there be any cancellations to a confirmed booking, in addition to any Star RV cancellation fees: If cancelled 91+ days prior to pick up - $100 Gallivanting Oz Administration fee If cancelled 90 to 22 days prior to pick up 10% of Total Rental (minimum $350, incl of Gallivanting Oz Administration Fee) If cancelled 7 21 days prior to pick up 20% of Total rental (minimum $350, incl of Gallivanting Oz Administration Fee) If cancelled less than 7 days prior to pick up 50% of Total Rental (minimum $350, incl Gallivanting Oz Administration Fee) If cancelled on the day of pick up or no show 100% of Total Rental (minimum $350, incl of Gallivanting Oz administration fee) There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicle. Original pick-up date or the earliest confirmed pick-up date is used to calculate the cancellation fee. Refunds by credit card can take up to 14 working days depending on the guest s financial institution. Vehicle Category Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category.

9 9 Vehicle Age Guarantee All vehicles in the Star RV fleet are less than 12 months at time of pick up. This age is determined from the date the vehicle is first on fleet. Voluntary Downgrade Should the renter decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked within 14 days of pick up or during the rental then they will not be entitled to any refund. Important We reserve the right to refuse any rental at our discretion. Full Responsibility While on their road trip guests are responsible for: Damage caused where the terms of Rental Contract have not been met of the guest (other than when a third party damage admits fault and provides full contact and licence details). Damage caused by negligence and/or wilful conduct. Damage caused to the RV in any way by part or total water submersion or salt water. It s true, our vehicles can t swim. Damage caused to the RV when using the RV in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic. Damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over. Damage or loss caused to any personal belongings. Damage caused due to use of incorrect or contaminated fuel. Damage to the slide out, awning or roof top tent of the RV.
