1 Summer Camp at Nan Ao School Guangzhou The Chinese Education Connection offers top teachers the opportunity to teach summer school to elementary or middle level students in Guangzhou, China this summer. Housing, food, instructional materials, and a full-time bilingual assistant will be provided to teachers selected for this special two-week program. Camp dates July 13 July 24, 2015 Travel date July 10 July 25, 2015 Number of teachers 16 (Middle and Elementary School Level) Final enrollment date Feb 27, 2015 (or until slots are filled) Deposit date Feb 27, 2015 (or until slots are filled) A special weekend excursion will enable teachers to explore the city and surrounding countryside. Teachers selected for the Guangzhou experience will have the opportunity to purchase a weekend in nearby Hong Kong. School: 1. Teaching content and teaching hours: Reading, art, PE, music, etc according to Indiana State Standards Focus on pronunciation, conversational skills, and skits 8:30 3: 00 (with hrs of lunch break) 6 periods/day (with 10 min recess in between) 45 mins/period 2. Schedule: First to 3 rd grade classroom: will be like American elementary classrooms. The teachers will have the same group of kids all day. The teachers will work together to create curriculum as far as what subjects to teach throughout the day, such as English, art, music, dance, PE, etc. 4 th grade above classroom: The teachers can decide how all-day schedule will look like for this group of students. It can be like the elementary schedule as mentioned above, or you can have students rotate classrooms like American secondary schools (Rotating classroom is not known in China). 3. Classroom size: 25 students with one assistant per class. 4. Transportation: School will provide the transportation from the hotel to the school. 5. Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be served at Hotel. Dinner hosted by school. II. Living situation: 1. Hotel: You will share one bathroom with your roommate. Everyone will either share a big room with another teacher, or you may have own room with extra cost. 2. Laundry service: School will have someone takes care of laundry twice a week. 3. Transportation will be provided for tours in town.

3 Tours to Guilin or to Hong Kong The entire group of teachers may decide to travel to Hong Kong at additional cost or to go to Guilin for no charge. A third option would be to stay in the hotel at Guangzhou. Unfortunately, CEC is unable to split the group so a unanimous decision must be reached. Get your passport ready by March, It takes 4-6 weeks or longer to receive the passport. 2. I understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for my own health insurance and cost of any medical care that I may receive while on the Trip. I further understand and acknowledge that Chinese Education Connection, LLC. does not maintain any medical or health insurance policies for me and it is not responsible for the payment of any medical care that I may receive. Therefore, I agree to maintain sufficient accident and medical insurance coverages to the extent that I deem necessary for my wellbeing. 6. I understand travel insurance is available for purchase and that protection from flight cancellations and other unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances is available only through that avenue. 7. In the event that I become injured or sick, I understand and acknowledge that the Tour Director reserves the right to declare me unfit to continue on specific activities while on the Trip at his/her sole discretion. If I am declared unfit to participate in any Trip activities, I agree to cooperate with the Tour Director and follow his/her direction regarding my permitted activity during that time. I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I MAY DECLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY PART OF THE TRIP ACTIVITIES, IF DOING SO IS POSSIBLE AND WILL NOT PUT ME OR MY FELLOW TRAVELERS AT FURTHER RISK. 8. In case any provision of this Agreement shall be determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions and portions of this Agreement shall be unaffected and unimpaired thereby, and shall remain in full force and effect, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
