4 Savings Accumulator gives you the financial flexibility to better plan your tomorrow Guaranteed coupon payout every six months starting from the end of the 3rd policy year With Savings Accumulator, you will receive regular guaranteed coupons of 2.5% of your sum insured that will be paid out every six months from the end of the third policy year. Boost your savings by depositing the guaranteed coupon payouts to earn higher returns by accumulating coupon payouts at the prevailing interest rate 5. Flexible premium 6 Depending on your needs, you can choose a lump sum premium payment or regular premium payment. 5 How does Savings Accumulator plan work? Scenario: Ms. Lim, (age 30 next birthday, female, non-smoker) is a successful architect and mother. To be able to spend more time with her child, Ms. Lim is planning to take a sabbatical leave in five years time. But she wants to ensure that her loss of regular income does not affect her financial goals. So, Ms. Lim purchases Savings Accumulator with no medical underwriting for a 10-year policy term and S$48,000 Sum Insured, with the guaranteed coupon deposited in the plan. She chooses to reduce her premium paying term to 5 years only. Now with an annual premium commitment of around S$11,778, payable for 5 years, she would have access to funds of S$70,502 7 at maturity available as contingency funds. Maturity payout She pays an annual FlexiPay premium of S$11,778 for 5 years. Total FlexiPay Premium paid S$58,892. Year 0 Year 5 Year 10 At the end of year 10, Ms. Lim has access to total of S$70,502 funds and the time off from her work to spend more time with her child. 6 With reference to the above scenario, in the event of death, given that this plan does not require medical underwriting, the projected total death benefit in the first five years will be lower than the Sum Insured, which includes 101% of the total premiums^ paid + Bonuses (if any) + FlexiPay Premium Reserve (if any) and Accumulated guaranteed coupon income (if any), less any amount owing to the company. What kind of protection coverage does Savings Accumulator provide? Savings Accumulator provides insurance coverage against death and terminal illness, as below: Policy Term Death/ Terminal Illness Benefit 10 First 5 Policy Years, the Company pays the sum of: (a) 101% of the total basic premium^ paid; (b) Bonuses (if any); (c) FlexiPay Premium Reserve (if any); and (d) Accumulated guaranteed coupon income (if any) Less any amount owing to the Company. 9 3. How does the guaranteed coupon payout work? You will receive a guaranteed coupon payment of 2.5% of the Sum Insured every half-yearly starting from the end of the 3rd Policy year, with the last payment paid on the maturity date. You may choose one of the following options to enjoy coupon payouts: (a) Receive the guaranteed coupon every 6 months, starting from the end of the 3rd policy anniversary; or (b) To deposit the guaranteed coupon in the plan to be accumulated at the prevailing interest rate. Note: Withdrawal of deposited guaranteed coupon (inclusive of all accumulated interest) must be in full. No partial withdrawal is allowed. 4. What is the entry age criteria for Savings Accumulator?
