When someone corrects our behavior, choices or decisions, and we take this correction very personally, it could be construed as a rejection of who we are as a person or even an attack on our character. In reality, correction is merely a request to change a particular act, behavior, or use of language. It is not an inspection into our lives or a negative judgment of our person. Tell me about a time when you experienced a correction from someone and viewed it as rejection or inspection. Remember, forgiveness is a choice that releases us to move forward. Do not get stuck! You cannot keep doing the same thing and expect to get different results. Opportunities demand risk. Opportunities will always be risky. They will always travel with fear and doubt, and if you continue to do what is convenient and familiar, you will never recognize the opportunities before you. Opportunities knock, but you must be prepared to take advantage of them. You must be prepared with the necessary mindset ahead of time so that when the opportunities come, you are ready for them. Learn that correction does not mean rejection. A correction is not a personal attack or a reflection of your character. It is simply a request for a change in behavior. Live large! Do not waste this precious gift of life you have been given by doing the same things over and over. Take risks, learn valuable lessons, and reap the rewards!
