This definition states that past due loans are '"Loans and bills discounted for which payment of principal or interest is more than six months in arrears, beginning from the day following the contractual payment due date." The definition of "Past due Loans" in the trust account thus differs from the definition applied to such loans in the banking account, wherein loans are classified by self-assessed borrower categories. Disclosure content is consequently inconsistent between the two accounts. For reference, the Bank therefore voluntarily discloses nonperforming loans in the trust account, based on the same self-assessment criteria applied to nonperforming loans in the banking account. 9
