1 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROMOTION NEW YEAR OFFERS FOR HSBC MASTERCARD CREDIT CARD 1. The Promotion of NEW YEAR OFFERS FOR HSBC MASTERCARD CREDIT CARD ( Campaign ) is applicable in all transaction outlets registered by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. ( HSBC ) in Vietnam. 2. Eligible products during the promotion period: HSBC Premier World Mastercard Credit Cards issued by HSBC in Vietnam ( Cards ). 3. Credit Cards which are not eligible to participate in this campaign include: HSBC Visa Platinum / Gold / Classic Credit Cards HSBC Business Credit Cards HSBC Staff Credit Cards 4. Promotion Period: from 17 October 2016 to 26 February 2017, both days inclusive. 5. Offers for new HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit cardholders: 5.1 Those customers who submit their new HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit card application from 17 October 2016 to 24 February 2017 and have their cards approved by HSBC no later than 03 March 2017 ( Eligible New Cardholders ) are eligible for Offer 1 and Offer 2 as defined below. 5.2 Offer 1: a. An Eligible New Cardholder will be awarded with VND 2,000,000 cash back if he/she has a total spend on his/her new primary Card of at least VND 2,000,000 within 30 (thirty) days of the card issuance date and posted to HSBC system no later than 07 April b. An Eligible New Cardholder will be awarded with VND 1,000,000 cash back if he/she has a total spend on his/her new supplementary Card of at least VND 1,000,000 within 30 (thirty) days of the card issuance date and posted to HSBC system no later than 07 April Note: The supplementary credit card application must be submitted at the same time as the primary credit card application. Each eligible primary cardholder will be awarded cash back for only one qualified supplementary card irrespective of how many supplementary cards he/she has that meet the total eligible spend. 2 c. The cash back amounts for eligible primary and/or supplementary cardholders will be credited to the credit card accounts of the eligible primary cardholders. d. Cash back will be awarded in two phases (refer to section 7.6 for details). The cashback amount will be shown on the eligible cardholders credit card bank statements of the following statement cycle after HSBC completes the reward process in each phase. 5.3 Offer 2: a. Reward of VND 3,000,000 shopping voucher for the first 40 (forty) primary Eligible New Cardholders who have a total spend on his/her primary and/or supplementary Card of at least VND 40,000,000 within 30 (thirty) days of the card issuance date and posted to HSBC system no later than 07 April b. If there are more than one cardholder qualifying for Offer 2 on the same transaction date, the winner will be determined by the higher total spend amount. c. Offer 2 will be awarded in two phases: Phase 1: 13 (thirteen) VND 3,000,000 shopping vouchers Phase 2: 27 (twenty seven) VND 3,000,000 shopping vouchers d. The prize(s) will accumulate into the Phase 2 if less than 13 cardholders qualify in the Phase Eligible cardholders can be awarded for both Offer 1 and Offer 2 if qualifying. 6. Offers for all HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit cardholders: 6.1 HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit cardholders who have their purchase transactions made on their Cards during the Promotion Period and posted to HSBC system no later than 26 February 2017 ( Eligible Cardholders ) are eligible for Offer 3 and Offer 4 as defined below: 6.2 Offer 3: a. Each of the 3 (three) primary HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit cardholders who meet all the following requirements in each week during the Promotion Period will receive with 1 (one) VND 10,000,000 voucher: (i) Make a purchase at an electronic Point of Sale (POS) terminal with his/her primary or supplementary Card in that week, where a sales slip is provided which contains a 6 character Approval Code; and (ii) The last 3 digits of the Approval Code (App Code) on sales slip are shown as 888; and (iii) The value of the purchase on the sales slip must be at least VND 500,000. b. If there are more than 3 qualified cardholders in the same week, the winners will be determined by the sales slip which has the higher value of spending. c. The prizes will be awarded in two phases (refer to section 7.7 for details). The prize(s) will accumulate into the following week if less than 3 cardholders qualify in the current week. d. The time frame of one week is from 00:00 on Monday to 23:59 on Sunday, Vietnam time GMT+7 during the Promotion Period and is based on HSBC s system. PUBLIC _ Issued by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. 3 e. There are 57 (fifty-seven) VND 10,000,000 vouchers in total to reward qualified cardholders of Offer 3. f. Each winner may be rewarded for one time only during the Promotion Period irrespective of whether he/she may be qualified for more than one time in (more than) one weeks. 6.3 Offer 4: a. The primary HSBC Premier World Mastercard credit cardholder who has the highest eligible total spend during Promotion Period will be receive 1 (one) five-day four-night package trip for two to Maldives, valued at VND 79,980,000 ( Maldives Trip ). b. If there are more than one cardholder with equal highest spend on their credit cards, the winner will be determined by the card where the highest eligible total spend amount is reached first as recorded by HSBC system. 6.4 Each eligible cardholder can be awarded for both Offer 3 and Offer 4 if qualifying. 7. 4 7.7 Timeline to announce and deliver prizes of Offer 3 and Offer 4: Offer 3 Phase 1 Phase 2 Offer 4 Transaction date 17/10/ /11/ /11/ /02/ /10/ /02/2017 The transactions must be posted into the HSBC's system by 23/11/ /02/ /02/2017 HSBC to announce prize winners on 05/12/ /03/ /03/2017 Timeline to deliver prizes (exclude weekend and holiday) 20/12/ /01/ /03/ /04/ /04/ /05/ HSBC is responsible for announcing the Terms and Conditions of this Campaign and the information of the qualified cardholders of Offer 2, Offer 3 and Offer 4 (including full names, the last four digits of their primary credit card numbers) at HSBC s public website ( 7.9 HSBC will notify the winners via phone, or post (as registered with HSBC) with instructions to collect the prizes. HSBC accepts no liability for undelivered notices due to incorrect phone number / address / correspondent address provided by customers, or if is not received or illegible, or if mail is lost or damaged The winners must collect their prizes at one of the following HSBC Premier Centers: HSBC - Ho Chi Minh City Branch: Ground Floor, The Metropolitan Building, 235 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh city. HSBC - Ha Noi Branch: Ground Floor, The Pacific Place, 83B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi. If the winner stays in Da Nang / Binh Duong / Can Tho, he/she will receive his/her prize at HSBC branch in that province Winners are required to present their original identification card or passport and their credit card for verification by HSBC. If the winner authorises another person to collect their prize, the authorized person must present his/her original identification card or passport, the certified copy of the winner s identification/passport and an authorization letter certified by the local authority After prize delivery deadline, winners who reject or have not collected their prizes will forfeit their prizes. 8. General Terms 8.1 HSBC reserves the right to reject any credit card application form that is illegible, unclear, incomplete and/or not accompanied by supporting documents. 5 8.2 HSBC will base eligible purchase on the transaction date, post date and approval code as recorded by HSBC s system and shown on credit card statements of cardholders. 8.3 Transactions that have been completed during the Promotion Period but not recorded by HSBC s system on due date will not be eligible irrespective of whether cardholders receive the SMS notification messages about the transaction completion or not. 8.4 Eligible purchase transactions do not include credit card activation and cash advance transactions, including, but not limited to, cash advance transactions at counters / ATMs / POS and other cash advance transactions, HSBC fee-related transactions and monthly instalment repayments, gambling-related transactions and e-wallets charging by credit. 8.5 Eligible transactions must be made by primary cardholders and supplementary cardholders (if any), and must be authentic for genuine personal purposes and allowed by Vietnamese Law. 8.6 Any transaction deemed to be suspicious or ineligible based on transaction time, location or other factors will be deducted from the total eligible purchase amount. HSBC reserves the right to request customers to provide the financial invoice and supporting documents/information to prove that the transaction is eligible. In case the customer does not or fails to prove that the transaction is eligible, HSBC reserves the right to deduct his/her transactions from the value of eligible purchase transactions during the Promotion Period. 8.7 Any disputed, cancelled and/or reversed transaction amount which is recorded in the cardholder s credit card statement during the Promotion period will be deducted from the total eligible spend. 8.8 Customers may check their transactions posted in their credit card account via HSBC Internet Banking service or HSBC Premier Contact Center at (84-8) If after a winner receives his/her prize and his/her eligible purchase transactions are cancelled or reversed, HSBC reserves the right to deduct the prize value from the primary cardholder s credit card account. The transaction will be shown on the credit card bank statement of the primary cardholder A credit cardholder will be disqualified if he/she performs or is subject to the following at the time of the promotion result announcement: Submits a card cancellation request or has cancelled his/her credit card; or Has his/her HSBC Credit Card cancelled by HSBC; or Are late paying any bank fees, or do not pay the minimum payment due as shown on their statements; or Are delinquent on any of their products with HSBC Customers may visit HSBC Premier website at for further details of the Promotion, or contact HSBC Premier Contact Center (84-8) If the Cardholders have questions relating to the process or results of the promotion, they must inform HSBC within 30 (thirty) days after the winners are awarded (for Offer 1) or notified (for Offer 2, Offer 3 and Offer 4) Winners will bear all costs incurred from the receipt of their prizes (if any) With the winners consent, the Bank will pay the ad hoc Personal Income Tax (if any) for the PUBLIC _ Issued by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. 6 prize value on behalf of each winner as stipulated by law; cardholders are not required to reimburse this tax amount to HSBC. 9. By participating in this Promotion, cardholders accept that HSBC reserves the right to publish or display the name and picture of the cardholders in announcements and advertisements in newspapers and other media without paying any fees to the customer. 10. HSBC is not the supplier of the product and service used as prizes in the Promotion. Therefore, after collecting their prizes, winners must contact the suppliers of the products and services directly if they have any inquiries or problems related to the product and services and the use of the vouchers. HSBC is not responsible for responding to inquiries and problems. 11. The decisions of HSBC on all matters relating to the Promotion including the result of winners are final, conclusive and binding. 12. Standard Terms and Conditions and eligibility requirements of Credit Card in accordance with HSBC s policy shall be applied in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of this Campaign. 13. HSBC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time after completing necessary procedures as required by law. 14. These Terms & Conditions are made in both English and Vietnamese.
