5 Key Dynamics of Housing Finance in India The increasing availability of housing finance & low interest rates have driven the boom in housing purchases Housing finance penetration is expected to improve in urban areas & reach 38% by FY13 & reach 6.5% in rural areas by FY13 Disbursements Between FY03 - FY08, housing finance outstandings are estimated to have grown at a CAGR of about 31%, mainly driven by disbursements Key drivers for growth in disbursements: 1.
