An unexpected life crisis a job loss, critical illness or disabling injury, etc. could put their income and assets at risk. Our suite of gap protection products provides employers with flexible and cost-effective options, while helping employees offset expenses or replace lost income when it is needed most. Each product includes flexible benefit options and guarantee issue levels, offered employer-paid or employee-paid (voluntary) or a combination of the two. And, our support services make it easy to quote, promote and administer the plan.
4 Our product lines Our suite of gap protection products helps cover expenses, protect assets, fill gaps or replace income. Each product may be offered independently, but offering multiple products helps to maximize plan impact and address more customer needs. Product overview Benefit options Underwriting Supplemental Medical Expense* (out-of-pocket) Reimburses certain eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses Works well for groups with high-deductible plans Limited Medical Expense (fixed indemnity) Provides a benefit amount for a select set of medical services Works well for groups without traditional health insurance Critical Illness** Provides a lump sum benefit to ease the financial burden that may result from a serious disease Works well alongside supplemental medical Short Duration Disability*** Provides a monthly benefit following a disabling illness or injury Short Term Disability*** Provides a weekly benefit following a disabling illness or injury Accidental Death & Dismemberment Provides 24-hour coverage for a critical or fatal accidental injury that occurs on or off the job. Inpatient hospitalization Outpatient care in select facilities only Ambulance transport Physician office visits Prescription drugs Hospital confinement Hospital admission Inpatient/outpatient surgery X-ray, lab, major diagnostic Urgent care and office visits Ambulance transport Prescriptions Covers 10 critical conditions Optional benefits: Occupational HIV benefit Additional occurrence benefit Recurrence benefit Health screening benefit Benefit amounts: $300-$10,000 per month Benefit periods: 6-24 months Salary replacement: 40-70% of salary or flat amount Optional portability Benefit amounts: $50-$3,000 per week Benefit periods: 13 or 26 weeks Salary replacement: 40-70% of salary, or flat amount Optional portability Optional benefits: Seat belt use Childcare May offer additional benefit amounts with medical questions May offer additional benefit amounts with medical questions May offer additional benefit amounts with medical questions Benefits and range of options may vary by state. Premium will vary based on plan chosen. A waiting period for late entrants may apply. These policies are renewable at the option of the company. *The Supplemental Medical Expense (out-of-pocket) plan is not a major medical plan. The product is designed to reimburse certain covered expenses, and is only available if an employer has a major medical plan in place. Out-pocket expenses submitted for reimbursement must be eligible under the major medical plan, and must meet the coverage definitions under our policy (may not include full reimbursement, if annual plan limits have been met). **The Critical Illness product is filed as Non-Participating Specified Disease in North Carolina. The Portability benefit is filed as Continuation of Coverage in Oregon. This is a limited policy. ***Salary replacement is based on earned income, as defined in the policy. Standard limitations and exclusions apply.
5 Our support services At Beazley, our goal is to make it easy for you to work with us. We are committed to delivering maximum support for your sales efforts in the following ways: Quoting We offer hands-on proposal support so you can obtain a quote easily and efficiently. Our sales hotline team members will work with you to explore your prospects needs and identify the products and plan design options that can best meet their requirements. Once you request a quote, we typically respond within 24 hours. Sales hotline: Producer appointment and registration It is easy to become appointed with Beazley typically in 2-3 days. Upon request, we will send you a set of appointment forms and instructions for completion. Once you submit your completed paperwork, we will initiate the request, conduct the background check, and send you an executed Producer Agreement. Onboarding new business Our dedicated new case specialist can assist you with onboarding the plan, processing new case paperwork and coordinating enrollment. Bottom line, we want to be sure that everything is set up properly so you and your customer are satisfied. Enrollment Our secure online enrollment tool is pre-populated with customers eligible employee information. Employees can easily log on to review benefit options, access educational product content and select desired coverages. If desired, we can also accommodate other enrollment options, such as paper enrollment or enrollment via a third party (subject to specifications). Employee communications We offer materials to help you introduce our products to your customers. In addition, we provide educational content for employers use with their employees, prior to and during enrollment. Our campaign theme, Ready for whatever s round the bend, is catchy, colorful and compelling, making it easier for employers to generate enthusiasm for the benefit program and easier for employees to understand the purpose and value of their benefits. Producer portal Our proprietary producer portal provides you with easy and timely access to information and tools, personalized for your accounts. You can view your active groups, manage proposal activity, review commissions reports, and download materials and forms all online. Customer service We provide your customers with hands-on case implementation support, balanced with convenient online tools to support fulfillment, billing, eligibility management, and claims functions. In addition, we have the flexibility to handle all billing types.
