4 I n t r oduction LexisNexis Solutions at Quote (SAQ) is an interactive single-inquiry tool that delivers comprehensive, nationwide data on drivers and vehicles associated with a specific address SAQ helps speed quote times by providing identity and vehicle information on an applicant as well as the other drivers within a household Information returned in the SAQ application should be independently verified with the insurance applicant and, absent such verification, should not be utilized by the customer for underwriting purposes This document is designed to help you understand the data returned in the SAQ report The SAQ report contains the following: LexisNexis Driver Discovery Report VIN (vehicle identification number) Paint the Screen report LexisNexis Current Carrier Auto Report (optional) You must be a LexisNexis Current Carrier database contributor to qualify for access to Current Carrier information D r i v er Discovery Report Description Driver Discovery identifies potential additional drivers associated with a household who may not have been previously disclosed by the insurance applicant Driver Discovery reports these drivers, as well as the identity information associated with them Driver Discovery is available in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and can be ordered as a stand-alone product, as part of SAQ or LexisNexis Data Prefill, or at the same time as ordering a LexisNexis CLUE Auto report Information returned in the Driver Discovery reports should be independently verified with the insurance applicant and, absent such verification, should not be utilized by customer for underwriting purposes 4

5 Report Header The header contains general information related to the transaction, including the date and time the report order was placed and completed, the case ID, requestor account/billing information, and Driver Discovery service processing status, among other data Header Field Descriptions The following table provides information about what each header field means Report Header Field Descriptions Report Header Field Case ID Quoteback Account Node/Location User ID Special Billing ID Reference Number Processing Status Description This is the unique order identification information you supplied in your order This is additional order identification information This is your LexisNexis account number Maximum length is nine characters This is the Node ID LexisNexis assigned you or your business/branch location that is set up with LexisNexis This is the user ID utilized by the individual ordering the report This is an alphanumeric field that may be used by the ordering company to identify orders on a customer s bill This field displays only if your account is set up for it This is a system-generated, 14-digit report identification number that identifies a specific report If you have questions about your report, provide this number to a LexisNexis representative when you call Technical Support This indicates the processing status of your Driver Discovery report (see the following section for all statuses) 5

6 Driver Discovery Processing Status The following table lists all the possible processing statuses with the Driver Discovery report Status Message Descriptions Status Message Processing complete, with results information Processing completed; results clear Not processed; access not permitted Not processed; invalid account number Not processed; Insufficient search data Explanation Processing completed successfully, and based on the type of report requested, there are additional drivers returned on the report Processing completed successfully, and based on the type of report requested, there are no additional drivers returned The account number on the order is not set up with LexisNexis to receive Driver Discovery report The account number on the order is not valid The order is missing significant information and cannot perform a search on the database Inquiry Data This section is a listing of data submitted on the inquiry, including: Name, Address, and DOB (date of birth) This data is echoed back, meaning you will not see information listed here that was not initially entered as part of the search 6

7 Additional Drivers Report This section contains information on the additional drivers found that are related to the inquiry name and address The maximum number of additional drivers that may be returned here is 10 Additional Drivers Field Descriptions The following table provides information about each field name in the Additional Drivers section of the report Field Descriptions Name DOB Gender Driver License Type Field Name Driver License State Driver License Number Driver License Expiration Date SSN (Social Security number) Name is always provided Provided when available Description License type information varies by state; refer to US Identification Manual or state s Driver s Manual for definitions Provided when available SSN is provided when available The last four digits of a discovered driver's SSN are returned as zeros (0s) If no additional drivers are found, this section is empty 7

8 Report Footer This final section of the Driver Discovery report provides contact and accountability information for both the report data and for LexisNexis Notably: Any clarifications or disclaimer notices related to the data contained in the Driver Discovery report, including a reiteration of the DPPA (Driver s Privacy Protection Act) Permissible Use chosen by the user ordering the report Source information for the Driver Discovery report the CLUE Auto database Contact information for the LexisNexis Technical Support Contact information for the LexisNexis Consumer Contact Center in case the Consumer wants to dispute any of the data on this report V I N Paint the Screen Report D e s c ription LexisNexis VIN Services provides various vehicle registration and title data associated with an address or pertaining to a particular vehicle Subject to certain state limitations, VIN Services data can include: vehicle identification to obtain detailed data about the registered vehicle; VIN verification and correction; owner identification and verification; and identification of other vehicles registered at an address provided 8

11 Developed Data This section lists vehicle (maximum 25) information on other registered vehicles at the inquiry address It also includes the following: Vehicle Year Make Model Legal Owner* VIN *One of the following may display in lieu of Legal Owner: Leaseholder Leasing Company Lien Holder Lessee Example: State Groupings Due to state regulations and agreements, the results information provided by VIN Services vary among three state groupings 11

14 C u r r ent Carrier Auto Report D e s c ription Please read the following before you proceed: Current Carrier Auto is an optional report If you are not a contributor to Current Carrier Auto database, you do not have access to this report If you are a contributor to Current Carrier, your ordering SAQ account must be properly configured to access Current Carrier Auto report Current Carrier Auto results vary depending on the CTP (Contribute to Play) data fields CTP fields will only be returned if you contribute this data and the data is available in the database Current Carrier Auto is an automobile policy history information exchange that enables insurance companies to access prior policy information from the Current Carrier repository The policy history includes information such as current/prior coverage, drivers, vehicles, lapse information, and coverage limits Current Carrier reports are derived from policy information provided to LexisNexis Risk Data Retrieval Services LLC by participating insurance carriers Report Header The header contains general information related to the transaction, including the date and time the report order was placed and completed, the case ID, requestor account/billing information, and Current Carrier processing status, among other data 14

17 Field Descriptions Current Carrier Field Descriptions Carrier AMB POL TYPE Field Name NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) Description Name of insurance company that reported the policy AM Best number from the insurance company An will be reported if the policy was contributed by the consumer The policy number reported by the insurance company Policy types for automobile include the following: AU = Auto BO = Boat Owners MO = Motorcycle RF = Ranch / Farm WC = Watercraft XO = Other National Association of Insurance Commissioner s number reported by the insurance company 17

18 Current Carrier Field Descriptions (Continued) RISK Field Name INCEPTION STATUS POL STATE LAST CANCEL REASON POLICYHOLDER SUBJECT FROM TO Description This refers to the type of risk for this policy reported by the insurance company Each company has its own definition for each risk type Risk type is a CTP field, meaning your company must contribute this data field in order to receive this field from other contributors Risk types include the following: STANDARD = standard risk ASSIGNED = assigned risk NON-STD = non-standard risk FACILITY = facility risk PREFERRED = preferred risk MIXED = mixed risk The effective date the policy was originally written The most current status of the policy Statuses reported include: EXPIRED = Policy is no longer active CANCELLED = The policy was terminated by either the insurance company or the insured IN-EFFECT = Policy is active DISPUTED = Consumer has disputed specific items or the entire policy The state in which the policy was written When not contributed by the carrier, this field contains the policy holder s mailing address state The reason for which the policy was most recently cancelled, if applicable A cancel reason can display on the report regardless of the current policy status Possible cancellation reasons include the following: COMP = Cancelled by company NONP = Non pay SUSR = Suspension/Revocation CUST = Customer request OTHR = Other SOLD = Sold LAPS = Lapse/expiration RTCK = Return Check REWR = Cancel/Rewrite MISR = Material Misrepresentation TRAN = Transfer The names of each subject found on the policy Subjects previously listed on the policy will also be reported Following the subject s name is their last reported relationship to the policy The relationship may be reported as follows: Primary = Primary policyholder Listed = Secondary and other policyholders such as employees of the insured are reported as listed Excluded = Reported by the insurance company as an excluded driver This field displays a number, starting with 1 This number corresponds with the order the subject appeared on the inquiry An OS indicates the subject reported is part of the policy but was not included on the inquiry search The most current policy period begin date and end date 18

19 Current Carrier Field Descriptions (Continued) Field Name START DATE OCCURRENCES LAST CANC DATE INSURED VEHICLE TYPE BUS Description The date LexisNexis started counting the number of cancellation occurrences for the listed subject The earliest date reported will be 09/15/2003 This information will not be reported for subjects that were not part of the inquiry (subject with OS indicator) Since the start date, the number of cancellation occurrences reported by the contributing company for the listed subject An occurrence is counted when the insurance company sends a cancellation date that falls between the policy period beginning and ending date If there are no occurrences for the listed subject this will be reported as zero If the occurrence is greater than zero, the date of the last cancellation reported by the contributing company will be reported If no occurrences have been reported the date will be reported with all zeros Vehicles most recently covered on the policy Also included are the VIN, year, and make of the vehicle The vehicle type for the insured vehicle Type will not be reported on policies that have been cancelled or expired for more than a year nor will it be reported on vehicles manufactured prior to 1981 There are four different vehicle types: P = Private Passenger M = Motorcycle T = Truck U = Unknown If the vehicle was reported as being used for business, a Y will be reported Otherwise, this field is blank 19

20 Current Carrier Field Descriptions (Continued) Field Name COVERAGE BI & PD LIMIT Description Types of coverage insured for the vehicle listed Coverage types include: BI = Bodily Injury CO = Collision CP = Comprehensive CS = CSL (combined single limit) - BI/PD ME = Medical Expense MP = Medical Payment NB = CSL - UM/BI NP = CSL - UM/PD OT = Other PD = Property Damage PI = Personal Injury Protection RR = Rental Reimbursement TL = Towing & Labor UB = CSL - UN/BI UM = Uninsured Motorist UN = Underinsured Motorist UP = CSL - UN/PD Auto coverage limits are for coverage types BI, PD, CS, NB, NP, UB and UP only This is a free form field and is reported dependent on how the information was reported by the contributing company If / appears, it will show BI/CO/PD (example /300000/100000) If BI and CO are not reported, and only PD is, it will show as 00000/00000/ If BI is the only item reported, it shows as /00000/00000 The amounts for the missing coverage types will be reported with 0s and will contain the same number of characters as the coverage reported (five 0s if 15000, six 0s if , etc) If a CSL is contributed it will be reported with the limit followed by the CSL code (example CSL) Report Footer This final section provides contact and accountability information for both the report data and for LexisNexis Notably: Contact information for the LexisNexis Technical Support and LexisNexis Consumer Contact Center Reiteration of the DPPA Permissible Use FCRA Disclaimer 20
