3 Dr. Paul Doherty Managing Director, Gavin and Doherty Geosolutions Paul is a co-founder of GDG and has been the Managing Director since company inception in 2011 during which time he has grown the business to a team of 40+ engineers. Paul is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland. He has over ten years of experience in offshore wind farm engineering design and marine geotechnical engineering during which time he has been involved with a wide range of renewable energy projects including wind, wave and tidal developments. Paul is also intimately familiar with the ports and harbours sector having worked on port redevelopments in Cork, Dublin, Donegal and across the UK. Title: Risk and the Value of Data in Offshore Wind Ole Stobbe Business Development Manager Northern Europe, Ideol Ole is a trained mechanical engineer passionate about realizing the transition to renewable energies. Spanning the last 18 years, Ole has worked in several offshore wind engineering and management positions in consultancies, project development companies and EPCI contractors. Since December 2015, Ole supports Ideol in the drive to bring floating offshore wind to commercial realization Title: Think Global, build local: the case for concrete floating substructures Bernard Casey Group Head of Asset Engineering, Mainstream Renewable Power Bernard graduated in civil engineering from University College Dublin and has a master s degree in soil mechanics from Imperial College London. He has more than 30 years experience in the power industry, including onshore and offshore wind, much of which was spent with ESB International in both consulting engineer and EPC Contractor roles. Bernard has been with Mainstream Renewable Power for 9 years and headed the Offshore Engineering group in the company. As Head of Offshore Engineering he was responsible for technical direction of Mainstream s offshore survey programme, technology selection and all engineering on Mainstream s 5.6GW offshore portfolio. 4 Neil Carthy Sales Technical Project Manager, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Ltd Neil been working in the wind industry for 10+ years, starting his career as R&D Engineering Manager for Nordic Windpower (WTG manufacturer), he was then Capital Equipment Manager for Vestas (WTG manufacturer) and his present position is Sales Technical Project Manager with Siemens Gamesa who manufacture offshore wind turbines and offer various extended scope solutions to our clients. They are currently active in US, European and Asian markets. Title: Turbine Technology Trends Richard den Hollander Business Development Director, Seaway Heavy Lifting Richard has worked in the offshore transportation and installation sector for over 20 years. During this period he has worked with EMC (European Marine Contractors Pipe lay Business) as a structural and marine engineer and with SHL (Seaway Heavy Lifting Engineering B.V.), as Installation Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Manager Business Acquisition and Business Development Director. Richard gained many years of offshore experience at the start of his career as Field engineer and later as Project Manager on board of the Heavy Lift Vessels owned by SHL. Originally, Richard is a bachelor level Civil Engineer with extensive practical offshore experience. Nowadays Richard is heading the business development department of the Offshore Wind division for SHL. Title: Lessons from a large EPCI contact

5 Ian McCarlie & Nicholas Carlin - Pinsent Masons Ian is a partner in the Energy and Finance Team at international law firm Pinsent Masons. Ian has worked in the energy sector for all of his career and in the last years has focused exclusively on renewable energy generation projects advising investors, senior lenders, infrastructure funds, utilities and IPPs on project development, M&A, financing and procurement across all technologies with a major focus on wind and solar technologies. Ian heads up Pinsent Masons' Global Renewables Team advising clients on international investment and market entry into new regions and economies expanding their renewables footprint. Nick is a Partner with Pinsent Masons, specialising in energy project supply chain arrangements. He has advised at various stages of some of the UK s largest onshore and offshore projects, helping to formulate procurement strategies, driving implementation of these strategies and drafting and negotiating the required contract documents. Nick has worked with developers, contractors, funders and consultants and has a keen understanding of the issues faced by the different stakeholders and how those might be mitigated.
