A VAT-registered person will henceforth not be required to pay VAT on import of capital goods in case the VAT payable exceeds MUR 150,000. However, the VAT-registered person will still have to declare the import in his VAT return. A VAT-registered person who submits his return electronically also has to submit electronically a consolidated list of the taxable supplies made to any person, other than a final consumer. The list is to be submitted in terms of serially numbered invoices, that is, invoice-wise instead of taxpayer-wise DTOS Page 5
