2 SITE PLAN: Provide a detailed site plan detailing the lot, including the location (with distances in feet) of the fireworks sales area and storage magazine placement relative to streets, property lines, parking area, description of weed vegetation and combustible material control, location and description of power supply, parking, and other nearby structures. LOCATION: Fireworks stands are not permitted in the Buckley Accident Potential Zone or within 1,500 feet of another fireworks stand. The zoning map with location of the Buckley Accident Potential Zone can be found at STRUCTURE: Tents or metal frame structures are permitted with tent permit. Wood frame structures are not permitted. Modular trailers only upon written approval by the Aurora Fire Department. FIREWORKS STORAGE MAGAZINE: Fireworks shall be stored in an approved Class 1-4 Magazine. Provide Documentation of Construction as to type of magazine to be used. The magazine storage area must be located a minimum of 30 feet from property lines, buildings, tents or canopies; 30 feet from automobile parking and 75 feet from flammable liquids storage or fuel dispensing operations. Include all distances in feet on site plan. FIREWORKS SALES AREA: The sales area must be located a minimum of 20 feet from property lines, buildings, tents or canopies (except sales tent); 30 feet from flammable liquids. Show location of barriers to be erected to prevent parking of any vehicle, including employees, within 30 feet of the sales area. Indicate weeds, vegetation and combustible materials removal for at least 50 feet from sales, storage and parking areas. Provide a detailed floor plan of the sales area: TENTS: Submit an approved Flame-Retardant Treatment Certificate indicated the size and fabric type. Location of tent shall be indicated on the SITE PLAN. SITE PLAN o Indicate location of tables, cash register and show minimum aisle widths of 44 inches. o Show exit locations and exit width. Tents with an occupant load greater than 10 shall have a minimum of two-6 foot wide exits and shall be located so that all points within the tent are 100 feet or less from an exit. All exits will be verified in accordance with the applicable fire code. Exits shall be open and unobstructed at all times unless covered by a flame-retardant curtain. Curtains shall be of a contrasting color. Guywires or other support shall not cross and exit opening at a height less than 8 feet. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: Indicate the type, size, number and location of extinguishers. A minimum of 2-5# ABC extinguishers with current inspection tag will be required, additional extinguishers may be necessary. NO SMOKING: Signs shall be posted in plain sight on all sides of the enclosure and on vehicle barriers. Standard black background with orange lettering on a minimum 8.5 X 11 material. NO LIGHTING OF FIREWORKS WITHIN 100 FEET: Signs shall be posted on all sides of tents or stands and on parking barriers. AGE WARNING SIGN: Must be posted as required by CRS (4) PERMITS AND LICENSES: Must be visibly displayed at all times. POWER SUPPLY: Installation of temporary wiring must comply with the National Electrical Code and International Fire Code. All wiring must be free from defects, protected from damage and protected against over load. Portable generators must be placed on a non-combustible surface a minimum of 30 feet from sales area and 75 feet from storage area. Indicate this on site plan. Note: a building permit may be required. Check with the permit center at FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS ROAD: Emergency vehicle access roads shall be provided when any portion of the facility is located more than 150 feet from an approved access route, such as a public street. Fire department access roads shall have minimum width of 20 feet with a minimum of 8 inches of compacted road base and be designated with an approved sign stating EMERGENCY ACCESS ONLY. TRASH: A dumpster, or other approved means, shall be required to be placed on site to contain combustible waste at all times. The site shall be maintained trash free. At the conclusion of sales the site must be removed of all merchandise, structures magazines and equipment. R e v P a g e 2

3 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PERMISSIBLE FIREWORKS The only fireworks permitted for sale in Aurora are permissible fireworks as defined in C.R.S Read and acknowledge that only permissible fireworks will be at your licensed location. Possession of fireworks not permitted by will be a violation of this license. Permissible fireworks means the following small fireworks devices designed to produce audible or visual effects by combustion, complying with the requirements of the United States consumer product safety commission as set forth in 16 CFR to and to , and classified as consumer fireworks UN0336 and UN0337 pursuant to 49 CFR ACKKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PERMISSIBLE FIREWORKS (I) Cylindrical fountains, total pyrotechnic composition not to exceed seventy-five grams each for a single tube or, when more than one tube is mounted on a common base, a total pyrotechnic composition of no more than two hundred grams; (II) Cone fountains, total pyrotechnic composition not to exceed fifty grams each for a single cone or, when more than one cone is mounted on a common base, a total pyrotechnic composition of no more than two hundred grams; (III) Wheels, total pyrotechnic composition not to exceed sixty grams for each driver unit or two hundred grams for each complete wheel; (IV) Ground spinner, a small device containing not more than twenty grams of pyrotechnic composition venting out of an orifice usually in the side of the tube, similar in operation to a wheel, but intended to be placed flat on the ground; (V) Illuminating torches and colored fire in any form, total pyrotechnic composition not to exceed two hundred grams each; (VI) Dipped sticks and sparklers, the total pyrotechnic composition of which does not exceed one hundred grams, of which the composition of any chlorate or perchlorate shall not exceed five grams; (VII) Any of the following that do not contain more than fifty milligrams of explosive composition: (A) Explosive auto alarms; (B) Toy propellant devices; (C) Cigarette loads; (D) Strike-on-box matches; or (E) Other trick noise makers; (VIII) Snake or glow worm pressed pellets of not more than two grams of pyrotechnic composition and packaged in retail packages of not more than twenty-five units; (IX) Fireworks that are used exclusively for testing or research by a licensed explosives laboratory; (X) Multiple tube devices with: (A) Each tube individually attached to a wood or plastic base; (B) The tubes separated from each other on the base by a distance of at least one-half of one inch; (C) The effect limited to a shower of sparks to a height of no more than fifteen feet above the ground; (D) Only one external fuse that causes all of the tubes to function in sequence; and (E) A total pyrotechnic composition of no more than five hundred grams. (b) Permissible fireworks do not include aerial devices or audible ground devices, including, but not limited to, firecrackers. I have read the list of permissible fireworks and understand that possession of fireworks at my sales location not permitted by is a violation of a condition of my City of Aurora Fireworks Sales License. Applicant Signature Supervisor of 21 years of age or older must be present at all times when fireworks are sold. ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS: No lighting of fireworks within 100 feet of the stand. No wholesale sales from the stands. Sales of only fireworks legal in the state of Colorado. Stands must have personnel on site 24 hours a day unless fireworks are locked in a metal magazine. Regular inspections to be conducted by City of Aurora personnel. All fires on site must be immediately reported by calling 911. R e v P a g e 3
