You can link any PIB profiles for which you have the correct credentials (The linking process is only required when the service is registered for the first time. There is no need to re-establish the link when you log on in the future) - Linking will be effected in all entity systems involved. For example, if a mainland China customer links both his / her mainland China and US profiles (both with Premier status) via mainland China PIB, when he/she logs on to mainland China PIB he / she will also be able to view his/her US profiles in Global View. And when he / she logs on to US PIB he / she will also be able to view his/her mainland China profiles in Global View - You can link profiles for non-premier relationships as well as Premier relationships. You will access Global View via a Premier country PIB and will then see the account balances for the non- Premier country displayed - When linking a Personal Internet Banking profile and if that profile is, for example, locked out, suspended or dormant, or the PIB service is unavailable, you will see an error message from that HSBC entity. By accepting this error message you ll be returned to Global View - You will have an option to de-link profiles from the Global View service a) Security tips for Internet banking, phonebanking and ATM Password / PIN / user ID / Security Device protection For your own security, it is important that you keep your password / PIN / user ID confidential. You should also change your password / PIN regularly. - Make sure no one sees your password / PIN / user ID when you use it - Keep your PIN/password separate from your ATM card at all times - When choosing your password / PIN, do not use your identity card number, telephone number, mobile number, birth date or commonly used number sequences such as and , or add 00 to these numbers - Do not use the same or similar password / PIN / user ID for different banking or online services - Change your password / PIN regularly - Memorise your password / PIN / user ID and never write it down. Keep it private and do not disclose it to anyone - Under no circumstances will our Bank or the Bank staff, the police or any genuine parties ask for your password / PIN - HSBC will never contact you and ask for your logon details and personal information for Internet banking, phonebanking or ATM services. These include your user ID, password, PIN, account number, identification/ passport number, address, phone number, etc - HSBC will never disclose your information in our s other than your name for personalisation purposes, nor ask 18 19

If you have reported your card lost or stolen, do NOT use it again if you find it later. Please inform the Bank first - Never give or lend your card to anyone else - Do not place your card close to magnetic materials, including mobile phones and other electronic devices - Please keep your debit card and identity documents separately 20 21
