Forex Cash Geyser Hi guys! In this report, I want to show you a trading technique using a special type of channel that enables you to quickly spot profitable breakouts.

3 Forex Cash Geyser Hi guys! In this report, I want to show you a trading technique using a special type of channel that enables you to quickly spot profitable breakouts. The Forex Cash Geyser is based on Keltner Channels and the Relative Strength Index. Keltner Channels were invented by Chester Keltner. It has a middle line which is a 10 period simple moving average of the typical price [(H+L+C)/3], and two outer lines which result from adding or subtracting the average of the daily price range (H-L) from the middle line. It s easy to trade with Keltner channels. Price normally remains within the channels if it s not volatile enough, so if it goes beyond the channels, this means price is making moves we can profit from. A buy signal occurs when price crosses and closes above the upper channel, and a sell signal when it goes below the lower channel. Image 1

Keltner Channels are quite popular but they re not found by default in your MetaTrader4 platform, so you can download and install the Forex Cash Geyser here to have the channel in your platform.

As with any type of indicator, we need to filter our signals from the Keltner Channel. In the image below, you can see that the Keltner Channel can detect great breakouts, but there are signals that need to be filtered. Image 2 We want to make sure our signals follow the right direction. For this purpose, we will use the Relative Strength Index (RSI). The RSI is an indicator that measures the volatility of price by comparing its gains to its losses on a 0 to 100 scale. The RSI can tell us the direction of the market. If it is above the 50 line, you have a bullish market. If it is below the 50 line, the market is generally bearish. If the RSI reaches the 70 line, price is considered overbought, and if below the 30 line, price is oversold. For our purpose, we will use the 10 period RSI.

5 If RSI is overbought or oversold, the price does not continue in the current direction, since it has already run out of steam. So, not only as a warning sign to not enter bad trades, it also serves as an exit signal for profitable trades. The Forex Cash Geyser will point you in the right direction using arrowheads. Image 3

How To Apply The Cash Geyser: To apply the Forex Cash Geyser onto your chart, open your Navigator window (hold Ctrl key and click on N on your keyboard).

6 How To Apply The Cash Geyser: To apply the Forex Cash Geyser onto your chart, open your Navigator window (hold Ctrl key and click on N on your keyboard). Open the Custom Indicators list and double click on ForexCashGeyser. This window will appear: Inputs Tab: 1. MAPeriod (default = 10) - the period setting of the moving average (middle line). 2. MAMode (default = 0) - the mode of the moving average (middle line). 0 Simple Moving Average 1 Exponential Moving Average 3. MAPrice (default = 5) - the applied price of the moving average (middle line). 0 PRICE_CLOSE Close price. 1 PRICE_OPEN Open price. 2 PRICE_HIGH High price. 3 PRICE_LOW Low price. 4 PRICE_MEDIAN Median price, (high+low)/2. 5 PRICE_TYPICAL Typical price, (high+low+close)/3. 6 PRICE_WEIGHTED Weighted close price, (high+low+close+close)/4. 4. ShowEntry (default = true) - points in the direction of the entry signal. 5. UseRSI (default = false) - if set to true, it uses the RSI as a filter. 6. RSIPeriod (default = 10) - the period setting of the Relative Strength Index.

Change the period setting to 10. In the Levels tab, you will have levels 30 and 70 levels set by default. Add the 50 level by clicking on the Add button and entering 50. Once done, click the OK button and you will have the RSI indicator window under your price chart.

8 Trading Rules Buy Trade Rules 1. Wait for the price to cross and close above the upper channel line. 2. If the RSI is above 50 level and is pointing up, enter a buy trade. Do not enter a trade if the RSI is above the 70 level. 3. Place the stop loss below the 10 SMA. 4. Place the take profit at 1:1 risk to reward ratio. In addition, you can trail your stop below the 10 SMA. Sell Trade Rules 1. Wait for the price to cross and close below the lower channel line. 2. If the RSI is below 50 level and is pointing down, enter a sell trade. Do not enter a trade if the RSI is below the 30 level. 3. Place the stop loss above the 10 SMA. 4. Place the take profit at 1:1 risk to reward ratio. In addition, you can trail your stop above the 10 SMA.

Example 1: Buy Trade Here s a buy trade example on the EURUSD daily chart. Image 4 When the price crossed above the upper line, a buy trade can be placed (1.29709).

The stop loss is set under the 10 SMA ( ). The take profit is set the same distance as the stop loss from the entry ( ). The price continues to rise and hit the take profit, with 215 pips.

Example 2: Sell Trade In the EURUSD 4 hour chart below, the price crossed under the lower line and closed. A sell trade can be placed (1.40478). The stop loss is set above the 10 SMA (1.41688).

The take profit is set the same distance as the stop loss from the entry ( ). The trade was closed with 121 pips. If this trade was being trailed by moving the stop loss above the 10 SMA after the close of each candle, it would be closed at , with 272 pips profit. The best way to trade with Keltner Channels is to ride on the emerging trend. Wait for a breakout to one side and this produces great results when done properly.
