3 Description of the PKG Pension Fund pension certificate The following list describes the individual features of the PKG Pension Fund pension certificate. The affiliated company s pension plan and the PKG Pension Fund pension regulations prove decisive when determining the detailed benefit amount and entitlement regulations. The most important terms used are also explained in the pension regulations. You will find the pension regulations at 1. General information a) Valid from: effective date of the certificate, date: certificate printing date, company number: contract number, company name: brief description of the company, name of the insured person and mailing address. b) Pension plan: description of insurance category, surname and first name, date of birth/gender, OASI number and date of joining the PKG Pension Fund: details about the insured person. 2. Salary details (Subsection 4.1 Pension regulations) Reported salary: the anticipated OASI annual salary (gross) reported by the employer to the PKG Pension Fund. Insured annual income savings/additional savings: salary used to calculate the savings contributions. Insured annual income risk/risk 2: salary used to calculate the risk benefits and the contribution for risk protection and administrative expenses. Reported level of employment: level of employment reported by the employer to the company. 1. January

Contributions Total annual amount: annual contribution by the employer and insured person together. - of which contribution for risk incl. administration: contribution for risk protection (disability and death benefits) and administrative expenses. Uniform rate pursuant to the pension plan for all of the affiliated company s policyholders. - of which savings contribution: annual old-age pension credit which is credited to the insured s old-age pension balance. Staff contribution (monthly/annual): percentage of the total contribution which is deducted from the insured person s insured annual salary. 4. Old-age benefits (Section 8 Pension regulations) Old-age capital excluding interest: anticipated capital on reaching retirement age, consisting of the old-age pension balance available on the reporting date (incl. interest until the end of the calendar year) and future old-age pension credits according to the pension plan, excluding interest, with effect from 1 January of the following year. The basis for calculation is the salary insured at present. Old-age capital including interest (current interest rate): anticipated capital, calculated as of the date of reaching retirement age and in case of early retirement (consisting of the old-age pension balance available on the reporting date and the future old-age pension credits in accordance with the pension plan, including interest). The basis for calculation is the salary insured at present. The interest rate is set annually by the Board of Trustees of the PKG Pension Fund, taking into consideration the minimum interest rate stipulated by the Swiss Federal Council. Conversion rate: percentage used to calculate the lifelong old-age pension from the old-age capital including interest. The conversion rate is set by the Board of Directors (Appendix to the pension regulations). Example: assuming a conversion rate of 6.4 percent, a pensioner with an old-age capital of 100,000 francs will receive an annual pension of 6,400 francs. Old-age pension: lifelong annual entitlement on retirement. In case of death, the oldage pension will be transformed into a survivor s pension or partner s pension (60% of the old-age pension) provided that all eligibility requirements have been met. Children s pension: 20% of the old-age pension. Annual entitlement until the child turns 18. If he/she is disabled or in education, until he/she turns January 2015
5 Capital or pension: normal case = pension is received. Capital payment of 100% or partial capital payment possible if a declaration to this effect is made (capital option) up to three months before the benefit is claimed (form available at Flexible retirement: complete or partial (at least 20%) early retirement (from the age of 58) or postponed retirement (up to the age of 70) possible. Normal retirement age: 64 for women and 65 for men. 5. Death benefits (Section 7 Pension regulations) Spouse's or partner's pension: lifelong annual entitlement for the survivors. The amount and eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the pension plan and the pension regulations. Partner s pension with a written declaration of benefit entitlement made while still alive or a written cohabitation agreement only (form available at Orphan s pension per child: the amount is calculated according to the pension plan. Annual entitlement until the child turns 18. If he/she is disabled or in education, until he/she turns 25. If both parents are deceased, the orphan's pension will be twice as much (full orphan's pension). Death benefit (if not entitled to spouse's or partner's pension): one-off capital payment. The amount and eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the pension plan and the pension regulations (as a rule, this corresponds with the existing old-age pension balance). Additional death benefit: one-off capital payment. The amount and eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the pension plan and the pension regulations (as a rule, this corresponds to x times the insured annual salary and is paid in addition to the death benefit). As a rule, the spouse s, partner s and orphan s pensions are paid in case of death resulting from an illness and within the framework of the legal regulations in case of an accident as a supplement to the benefits provided under the Swiss federal law on accident insurance (UVG). More comprehensive benefits in case of an accident must be provided for in the pension plan. As a rule, the death benefits are paid in case of death caused by an illness or accident. 6. Disability benefits (Section 6 Pension regulations) Full disability pension: the amount is calculated according to the pension plan. Annual pension in case of full disability in accordance (in case of a degree of disability of at least 70%) with the Swiss federal disability insurance (DI). In case of partial disability from 40%: partial pension. Children's pension per child: the amount is calculated according to the pension plan. Annual entitlement until the child turns 18. If he/she is disabled or in education, until he/she turns January
6 As a rule, the disability and children s pensions are paid in case of disability resulting from an illness and within the framework of the legal regulations as a supplement to the benefits provided under the Swiss Law on Accident Insurance (UVG). 7. Information regarding the old-age pension balance Vested benefit: the entitlement to the termination benefit calculated on the reporting day pursuant to the Swiss federal law on vested benefits. - of which pursuant to LOB: proportion of the vested benefit which corresponds to the legal minimum in accordance with the Swiss federal law on occupational oldage, survivor s and disability benefit plan (LOB). Advance withdrawal/eho: advance withdrawal claimed to date for owner-occupied residential property in accordance with the Swiss federal law on the encouragement of home ownership using occupational pension assets. Maximum purchase amount (subject to the legal regulations): the maximum purchase amount possible that may be deducted from your taxable income. Any existing pension balances from the 2 nd pillar and to a certain extent pension balances from the fixed pillar 3a shall be deducted from this amount. Any amounts taken out early to purchase owner-occupied residential property shall be repaid first. The pension benefits resulting from purchases may not be claimed for a period of three years in the form of capital, e.g. for purchasing residential property or on retirement. Maximum possible advance withdrawal for purchasing residential property: the maximum possible amount that may be used for an advance withdrawal or a pledge for owner-occupied residential property. Minimum amount: CHF 20, Possible every five years, but three years before retirement at the latest. 8. Development of old-age pension balance Old-age pension balance: the saved old-age pension balance incl. interest as of the last reporting date. Savings contributions: savings contributions between the last and current reporting dates. Deposits and advance withdrawals: deposits made (vested deposits, purchases, etc.) and advance withdrawals (for residential property or divorce) between the last and current reporting dates. Interest credits: savings credits between the last and current reporting dates. The interest rates charged on the old-age pension balance are determined by the Board of Trustees of the PKG Pension Fund. Old-age pension balance: the saved old-age pension balance incl. interest as of the current reporting date January 2015
