If you already have provided rebalancing instructions for your investments, they will be copied over to your new account with Sun Life Financial. Rebalancing at Sun Life Financial will occur quarterly. Your beneficiary designation Your beneficiary is the person you designate in writing to receive the benefits from your plan if you die. If your account was part of a group transfer from the pension plan, registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) and locked-in Retirement account (LIRA) policies with the current provider, the last beneficiary designation filed by you under those plans will apply under the Sun Life Financial Policy for the same plan type. 7 Your investment options Listed here are the funds available under The Retirement Savings Plan for member companies of the ABB Group in Canada, along with their corresponding investment management fees (IMFs). Built FOR me You have two options: Horizon Portfolios or target date funds. You should consider a Horizon Portfolio or a target date fund, if you: have a good idea of when you will need your money; have little interest in actively managing your portfolio, or feel you lack the knowledge or experience to manage your portfolio; and are comfortable with the fund s strategy of decreasing levels of risk and potential returns as you approach your retirement date. See page 5 for details on the underlying funds that make up the Horizon portfolios. Horizon Portfolios You can invest in one of the Sun Life Financial Horizon portfolios, which make it easier than ever for you to invest in your plans with ease and confidence. They are designed to optimize performance for a given level of investment risk, based on a combination of your investment horizon and risk profile. They re simple; they offer a multi-manager approach. They are automatically re-balanced and monitored to ensure that each fund s target asset mix is maintained. Please review the chart below to find your ideal Horizon portfolio.
