SFY 2015 Budget - Overall Hospital Funding Maintained at $985 Million Charity Care- $650 Million ($25 Million) Graduate Medical Education - $100 Million DSRIP - $166.6 Million Mental Health Subsidy Fund - $24.7 Million An increase in Medicaid spending, from $3.95 Billion to $4.16 Billion Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, University Hospital and Rutgers Camden to join with Medicaid managed care organizations to help the administration devise a program to innovate and improve healthcare delivery under Medicaid and Family Care. Pursue a three year accountable care organization pilot program. Flat funding for nursing homes. 4
5 Charity Care $650 Million allocated through three separate pools: First pool = prior year s distribution; will account for 78.5% of the overall distribution ($ million.) Second pool = increases and decreases in charity care documentation over calendar years 2011 and 2012; will account for 20% of the overall distribution ($130 million.) Third pool = bonus pool, hospitals will have to show consecutive growth in documented charity care claims from 2010 to 2011 and then again from 2011 and 2012; will account for 1.5% of the overall distribution ($9.75 million.)
