6 If you have rated your chapter as less than extremely satisfied, please tell us how we can improve. Please suggest better locations if location is an issue for you. Time since last attended an educational event Zip Code first three digits Comment < 6 months 671 A lot of the speakers are the same each year. It would be nice to have a different take on the subject once in a while. < 6 months 661 Change the location up more. Kansas City < 6 months 641 Education is a high priority for our chapter and we do a good job on topics we have presented in the past. We need to continue to look at the new payment methodologies and how they will impact the hospital providers. < 6 months 667 I do not believe that I receive the newsletters. < 6 months 677 I rarely give the highest score as I feel there is always room for improvement. So nothing personal. < 6 months 672 I would recommend engaging a higher number of speakers that work in hospitals outside of Kansas. This brings fresh ideas to the membership. < 6 months 679 More centralized program locations would be great. < 6 months 678 Ned more billing oriented type of trainings. The billing dept seems to have such a large turn over in staff. < 6 months 558 Prefer Thursday and Friday meetings. < 6 months 688 Some speakers are less than ideal. That's a risk which must be taken. The biggest problem is when a speaker comes clearly meaning to sell their products or services, which is a big turn off. Again, it's difficult to predict the outcome on these things for a first-time speaker, but offenders should be blacklisted. < 6 months 673 The most recent location by the airport was more difficult to get to. < 1 year 666 As I say every year, there is too much focus on Medicare and not enough on Medicaid, commercial payors, and legislative agendas like Medicaid expansion or ACA. < 1 year 670 We are a small rural hospital with limited funds, therefore, some of the locations (Topeka, Kansas City) are hard to find available funds for travel to the events. > 2 years 678 I haven't been to an HFMA meeting for a couple of years. I am in western Kansas and the HFMA meetings tend to fall in the same timeframe as our board meetings. > 2 years 664 It would be nice to have some meetings someplace like Manhattan instead of Wichita > 2 years 660 Several years ago, the Annual Cost Report course was held the first week of August rather than the last week in July. I appreciated the change as it allowed me to attend. I also preferred educational offerings in Kansas City or Topeka, but understand Wichita is easier for folks in southern and western Kansas. Never 665 I have been in Kansas for over a year and it appears that the Sunflower has the same topics over and over again. Additionally, the information is presented by the same companies so there is very little new information offered. I have not been to a meeting since I moved here because the lack of new material outweighs the opportunity to network. Never 660 New in area 5

7 Please describe any other topics that you would like to see your HFMA chapter address this year. Time since last attended an educational event Zip Code first three digits Comment < 6 months 660 More information around Hospital and Provider Based Rural Health Clinic Guidelines and Billing. < 1 year 666 New Accounting reporting standards that are on the horizon at FASB. 6

8 What would make your chapter's events so compelling that you would have to attend more frequently? Please also offer any other comments you would like to offer your chapter. Time since last attended an educational event Zip Code first three digits Comment < 6 months 671 Education topics are what draw attendance. I feel the chapter does a very good and thoughtful job putting together educational offerings. I think the Chargemaster and Payers programs are fantastic, but I feel the Cost Report seminar could use a different perspective. They do a good job with putting together a program for the Cost Report, but every year tends to be a repeat of the prior. It would be nice to consider employing a different speaker once in a while for a fresh perspective on the material. Thank you for all your hard work! < 6 months 677 I always attend when possible & I always learn something new or at least relearn some things forgotten. < 6 months 669 I think they are great and should not be missed currently. < 6 months 674 More networking opportunities < 6 months 672 Speakers from hospital systems like Sentara, Christus, Harvard Medical Center, etc. < 6 months 088 The consistently satisfies my educational needs. Pretty much all of the topics are valid for my job and facility. Would have an interest in some information related to RHC's as well as ACO's. < 1 year 666 Charge Master Workshop is Excellent I attend every year! < 1 year 666 Discussions that aren't about Medicare > 2 years 666 Current job demands make it difficult to be away from work. > 2 years 660 NE Kansas location. The cost report seminar is the most appealing to me, but I cannot attend in July. > 2 years 678 The HFMA meeting tend to fall on the same night at our board meetings Never 671 This is my first year as a member and I have not had the opportunity to attend an educational program. I have participated in a couple of webinars. 7
