1 Intel Master Trust 2016 Investment options summary - for Intel employees Members of the Intel Master Trust 2016 have access to the following investment options: an easy investment option - the Active Plus IV Universal Strategic Lifestyle Profile other strategic lifestyle profiles a range of self-select funds You can find more information about all these options in the member guide and on the plan website. In this document you'll find more information about the volatility ratings, charges and past performance of the following funds: the growth fund within the easy investment option the growth funds within the other strategic lifestyle profiles the self-select funds The past performance information in this document is based on data available for quarter ending 30 September All past performance data is sourced from FE and is in pounds sterling. It takes into account the charges which apply to each fund, but not the plan rebate. Some of the self-select funds have been specifically created for Intel Master Trust 2016 members. They were launched on 22 February 2016, so past performance information is limited. However, as they invest in existing Standard Life funds, we've shown the past performance of the funds they invest in. The investment performance you'll get from investing in the Intel versions of the funds will vary from the investment performance you would experience from investing in the Standard Life funds directly. This is a result of a number of differences, such as charges, tax and timing of investment. Note that for the Standard Life Active Global Equity 70:30 (Intel) Pension Fund (fund code: LLAK), we show simulated composite performance for the two Standard Life funds it invests in, in the proportion it invests in them, rebalanced monthly. Any data contained herein which is attributed to a third party ("Third Party Data") is the property of (a) third party supplier(s) (the "Owner") and is licensed for use by Standard Life*. Third Party Data may not be copied or distributed. Third Party Data is provided "as is" and is not warranted to be accurate, complete or timely. To the extent permitted by applicable law, none of the Owner, Standard Life* or any other third party (including any third party involved in providing and/or compiling Third Party Data) shall have any liability for Third Party Data or for any use made of Third Party Data. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Neither the Owner nor any other third party sponsors, endorses or promotes the fund or product to which Third Party Data relates. *Standard Life means the relevant member of the Standard Life group, being Standard Life plc together with its subsidiaries, subsidiary undertakings and associated companies (whether direct or indirect) from time to time. Remember that past performance is not a guide to future returns. As with any investment, the value of your funds can go up or down, and may be worth less than was paid in. If you're not sure about the information in this document, contact Standard Life or speak to a financial adviser.
2 Guidance notes ratings The volatility rating of a fund indicates how much the fund price might move compared to other funds. The higher the volatility rating, the less stable the fund price is likely to be. You can use this to help you decide how much risk you're comfortable taking with your investments. Less Volatile More Volatile We regularly review volatility ratings for funds, and these may change. We set ratings based on our experts' judgement, using data on: How the fund price has varied from month to month in the past, compared to other funds available How investments in similar asset classes vary from month to month and the investment policy of the fund Typically, higher volatility ratings mean greater potential investment returns over the longer term. But high volatility funds are more likely to suddenly fall or rise in value. The volatility rating isn't the only factor you should consider when selecting a fund. Charges Fund management charge (FMC) We apply a charge to money invested in our funds. This is known as the fund management charge and is shown as an annual rate. However, we deduct the charge from each fund on a daily basis, which has the effect of reducing its unit price. Additional expenses (AE) Additional expenses may be deducted from some funds. They include items such as custodian, third party administration, trustee, registrar, auditor and regulator fees. Where a fund invests in other underlying funds, they may also include the underlying management charges. As the additional expenses relate to expenses incurred during the fund management process, they will regularly increase and decrease as a percentage of the fund, sometimes significantly. The additional expenses figure shown is the annual rate of the charge. But where additional expenses apply, they're taken into account when the fund's unit price is calculated each day. Total annual fund charge (TAFC) The total annual fund charge is the fund management charge plus additional expenses. The charges shown in this document don't take into account the plan rebates that apply. Plan rebates provide enhanced terms on some of the amount you have invested in each fund. For more information about plan rebates, see the member guide. Charges and rebates are not guaranteed. They are regularly reviewed and may be changed in the future. The information here is correct as at October 2018.
