Different jurisdictions envisage different roles In the EU central banks would play a prominent role in diagnosis and prescription, but a more limited one in implementation In the U.S. the central bank would be responsible for the regulation and supervision of systemically significant institutions of all types In the U.K. and Japan the central bank would play a role in resolution 13
