The benefits The Significant Investor Visa offers unique benefits for qualifying investors, such as the ability to include adult children as dependants in the permanent residency application. In addition, you are exempt from many of the typical processes associated with an Australian visa, such as: English language requirements Age limits Innovation points and skills tests. Requirements Your application must be nominated by a State or Territory government once you lodge an Expression of Interest; our SIV specialist can provide more detail about this process. Specific qualifying criteria includes: Investment of AUD$5 million in a complying investment for a minimum four years The primary visa holder must also reside in Australia for at least 40 days per year, or part year (the residence period can be met cumulatively over a four year period). 3

9 Complying investments In order to qualify for the Significant Investor Visa, your AUD$5 million investment must be held across at least one of three distinct categories. Category 1 Qualifying Commonwealth, State or Territory government bonds. Category 2 Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulated managed funds with a mandate for investing in Australia. Citi offers a range of innovative and compliant products.
