12 CLAAS V-CLASSIC and V-MAX knives. Optimum chop quality low fuel consumption. CLAAS ORIGINAL chopper knives are coated with a special tungsten carbide powder which is actively bonded with the cutting edge of the knife in a melting process with precise temperature control. The bond produced by the matrix is just as important as the tungsten carbide content, since this produces the knives self-sharpening effect: less ground material means a significantly longer service life. This results in shorter grinding times, making the use of CLAAS ORIGINAL knives so economical.
