1 Search Tips How to Find Question: I need to find a book (I know what I am looking for) You should go to Cujas online catalogue (inside the library or on the internet) You can use simple search: enter keywords (title, author), select livres If the search is successful Click on the result, and a bibliographic record will appear: If the status of the book on the right is empruntable or à consulter sur place, you can request it via the online catalogue (only if you happen to be inside the library). Please click on the status, enter your name and library ID (number written on the library card, without the L and spaces), write down the number which is assigned to you (e.g. A 46) : this number enables you to check on one of the 3 black boards (A, B, C) above the issue desk that your item has arrived from the stacks (within 20 min). Go to the issue desk, give your library card, get a ticket with the number instead, and take the item you have requested to your seat. You can request up to 3 items at the same time. When you are finished, go back to the issue desk, give back your items, and get you library card. Other statuses do not enable you to request the item: Demandé : already requested Communiqué : someone is reading it in the reading room Inventaire : staff is cataloguing the book (go to the reference desk) Prêt : on loan Manque : missing 1

You can use simple search: enter keywords, select revues - If the search is successful, click on the title, and a bibliographic record will appear: Etat de collection tells you which issues the library holds and where. - Issues listed below the record can be requested online - Some issues of the last 10 years are available in the periodicals room - A few issues are available in the main reading room - All issues of the current year are held on the first floor, go to the counter and request the item: fill in a form with the call-number and date/number of the issue 6
