2 Services we provide Ferpandi S.r.l. was established in Genoa in the early 1980 s committed to provide P&I Clubs and their members with the highest level of service by a team of qualified persons with a deep know how of P&I and an established experience in this particular field. In recognition of the high level of service offered to international ship owners, both P&I Insurers and P&I Clubs of the International Group have recently electedferpandi S.r.l. as correspondent not only for the ports of our regional area but also for others Italian ports where Ferpandi S.r.l. has built up and controls a network of competent and reliable experts in situ. Ferpandi S.r.l. is also one of the founders of The European P&I Correspondents (EPIC) and Network Partner of TTClub. The scope of a P&I Correspondent is that of performing an active role locally for the solution of a wide and complex range of matters falling within the P&I Insurance Cover offered to the maritime operators by the P&I Clubs of the International Group and by P&I Insurers. Most of the P&I Clubs and P&I Insurers have their main office of management centralized in the most important international shipping centres. By the nature of international trade of their Insureds they have built up a wide network of trusted correspondents in the major ports of the world whose names and contact details are listed in the Correspondents Book which they edit and annually update. Through an efficient structure which employs the latest telecommunication systems Ferpandi S.r.l. is capable to provide a response 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and an immediate assistance to Masters, Ship Owners, Charterers, Shipping Operators, Agents, P&I Clubs and Insurers. In particular the services we provide are the following: Claims handling for P&I Clubs/Insurers/Ship Owners/Shipping Operators Catastrophic loss claims handling and cost management Handling and management of the medical expenses incurred in relation to injuries and/or illness of crew members, passengers and stevedores Handling of disembarkation and repatriation of stowaways and deserters First aid advice on legal issues and litigation support Arranging P&I and loss prevention surveys When intervening on particular technical, commercial and legal problems which require a specific competenceferpandi S.r.l. is in position to identify and to recommend the appointment of the most suitable expert(s) from a wide range of qualified surveyors and lawyers always ready to promptly attend on the spot. Ferpandi S.r.l. is well based within the various Italian port areas and has direct connections with agents and local operators and hence is in an ideal position to monitor the situations and the continuous evolution of the local shipping market, alerting the Clubs, the Insurers and their Members and Insureds of any topical issues or potential risks or hazards and assisting them in collecting information and news.

5 Team ANTONIO TALARICO President of Ferpandi S.r.l. one of the founders of the Company. Antonio joined the Company in 1983 after having spent some years sailing in the Merchant Navy as Engineer. He has a broad experience in the handling of P&I and Defence matters for the major P&I Clubs, Insurers and Shipping Operators. He is currently responsible for the external relationships of Ferpandi S.r.l. Before working in the claims department for insurance brokers he took his degree in Trade and Economics at the Genoa University and moved his first steps in a shipping company.
