1 CERTIFICATE COURSE ON FOREX AND TREASURY MANAGEMENT The Certificate Course is an advanced course in Treasury Management (including Forex Treasury) Participants are presumed to have advanced theoretical knowledge and understanding of Treasury Operations. Sessions will focus on Theory and Practical aspects of Treasury Management. After passing this Certificate Course, Candidates will: i. Be in a position to understand and appreciate the instruments and intricacies of Operations in the Money Market, Capital Market, Commodity Market and Foreign Exchange Market including Risk Management. ii. Acquire Proficiency in Management of Funds in relation to Short-term, Medium Term and Long Term Investment Operations with Liquidity / Maturity Planning. iii. Be in a position to Manage Foreign Exchange (Front, Mid and Back Offices) in the context of Regulatory framework and recent liberalization and autonomy given to Banks and Corporates etc. iv. Acquire Skills for Asset Liability Management in the Conext of Risk, Control and Hedging Operations. v. Be be able to manage Derivative products for Forex, MM, Securities, Interest Rate and commodities OTC/Exchange Traded NOTE: The details of the prescribed Syllabus which is indicative are furnished below. However, keeping in view the Professional Nature of Examination, all matters falling within the realm of the subject concerned will have to be studied by the Candidates as Questions can be asked on all relevant matters under the Subject. Candidates appearing for the Examination should particularly prepare themselves for answering questions that may be asked on the lastest developments taking place in the various subjects of the said examination although those topics may not have been specifically included in the Syllabus. ICAI also reserves to itself the right to vary the Syllabus / Rules from time to time. Any alterations made will be notified from time to time.
