8 C 1/6 EN Official Journal of the European Union Update with effect from 1 January 2019 of the effective rate for calculation of compound interest in accordance with Article 12 of Annex XII to the Staff Regulations ( 1 ) (2019/C 1/08) The rate referred to in Articles 4 and 8 of Annex VIII to the Staff Regulations and in the fourth paragraph of Article 40 and Article 110(3) of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants, for the calculation of compound interest shall be 2,9 % with effect on 1 January ( 1 ) Eurostat Report on the 2018 actuarial assessment of the Pension Scheme for European Officials of 1 September 2018.
