Ending Balance $ 12,294, , ,572, Total All Cash and Investments $ 13,187, $ 1,697,218.4 $ 14,885,3.84 Between May 31, 213, and June 3, 213, the total cash and investments balance increased in the aggregate by $1,697, The increase is primarily due to the Agency's receipt of its Redevelopment Property Tax Trust Fund (RPTTF) distribution from the County of $2,32,97.. A progress payment was made in the amount of $275,. to Verdugo, LLC for completing the next milestone in the project and regular day-to-day operating costs which were incurred. DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: The monthly cash and investment report includes the beginning and ending balance as well as the activity for the cash and investment accounts held by the Agency. The Agency pools unrestricted cash resources from all funds in order to facilitate the management of cash. The balance in the pooled cash account is available to meet the

Cash in excess of the Agency's current cash needs is invested in various interest-bearing accounts and other investments for varying terms. Cash held by the fiscal agent is generally pledged to the payment of specific project costs (such as bond proceeds) or security of certain outstanding bonds (such as bond reserves) and is not available for day-to-day cash needs. The investment portfolio portion, beginning on page 2 of Attachment 1, provides the amount of funds that were available for investment and the manner in which the Agency has invested the funds.
