3 Initial Situation The structure of added value in the financial industry, particularly with asset management companies, is on the move. While in past decades the enterprises distributed their products and services almost exclusively via their own structures, by now, tasks in the fields of sales, marketing and PR are more and more outsourced to external service providers. The reasons for this development can be found in the significantly lower cost structure and higher flexibility of cooperation as well as in the service providers' degree of specialization. In addition, foreign providers of financial products entering the German market favour more and more a cooperation with external experts in order to keep their costs of market entrance low and retain their flexibility. 3

4 Market Potential / Competition Germany is a leading economy and one of the richest countries in the world. Consequently, to be present in Germany is of greatest interest for international players of the financial industry. More than one thousand providers of financial services and financial products are operating in Germany. Although heavy competition prevails, dozens of new providers push into the market every year. These enterprises encounter narrow resources in the fields of sales and marketing. Therefore, a considerable increase can be perceived in the willingness to outsource tasks to established high-performance service providers. Access to proven networks and structures makes it possible for the enterprises to calculate their costs on the basis of fixed cost contracts and to realise their market entrance with a significant gain in time. 4

AGATHON CAPITAL GmbH was established in The company specialises in the distribution of products and services to selected institutional target investors on behalf of enterprises operating in the asset management industry. In addition, services in the field of marketing, PR and interim management can be provided on request in cooperation with specialised partners. 5

7 Range of Services AGATHON CAPITAL specialises in the delivery of services for asset-managementcompanies. Within the last years the company established a wide-ranging network in the field of institutional investors. These network is available for our clients to support the distribution of their products and services. Each year we approach more than 300 personal contacts in the predefined fields of target investors (e.g. insurance companies, banks, pension funds, fund of funds etc.) and offer them selected products and services of our product partner. Furthermore, we ensure monthly contacts to target investors through our mail distribution system. As a compensation for these services, our product partner pay a fixed fee in accordance with the scope of services and a success fee for realised investments. 7

In selecting these partners, we take great care to ensure that the products and services of each partner constitute a unique selling point within our range of products. On request, we can supply services in the field of marketing, PR as well as event and interim management in cooperation with established partners, thus giving our clients access to an efficient range of services. 8

These include: insurance companies, most of pension manager for physicians, architects, chemists, etc. as well as pension manager for state and federal institutions, several pension funds, most of the top savings banks (Sparkassen) of Germany, the largest cooperative banks (Volksbanken, Raiffeisenbanken), selected industrial corporations, several family offices (single and multi family offices), selected investment advisers and consultants, selected independent asset manager and funds of funds-manager. 9

11 Management Erich Schilcher, graduate economist Fon Mobile Mr Schilcher started his career in the industry as a junior portfolio manager within the HSBC-Group Germany in 1997 after finishing his studies in Economics. In 2002 he took over responsibility for the distribution of the global asset allocation model of HSBC Capital Management in Germany. From 2004 onwards he was senior sales manager for institutional clients. At the same time he built himself a solid reputation as an expert for strategic asset allocation. In 2009 Erich Schilcher started his own business and founded AGATHON CAPITAL. He is responsible for the distribution of partner products and solutions to institutional investors. 11
