2 Speakers Ferdinando Emanuele has been a partner at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP since He has been doing litigation and arbitration for nearly 25 years. In 2016, the Italian government and the Bank of Italy appointed Ferdinando Emanuele a member for the Italian Republic of the panel of arbitrators and conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of the World Bank in Washington, DC. He has defended many Italian and foreign companies and sovereign states in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. Anton de Feuardent, a partner at Fair Links, is an economic and financial expert, specialised in the valuation of complex assets and the economic modelling of contracts, public-private partnerships and financial instruments. As a consultant, he has assisted more than 30 governments, the IMF as well as numerous companies, banks and investors in valuations, contract negotiations, the definition of tax policies and the public administration of complex contracts. As an independent expert, he has testified before State courts and international arbitration tribunals (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, PCA, ad hoc) as well as competition authorities in more than 50 cases. Laurent Jaeger is a partner at King & Spalding and is an international arbitration and litigation lawyer, with a focus on commercial and investment disputes. He represents corporations and governments in jurisdictions across Europe, Africa and the United States, with particular experience in the energy sector. He has acted as counsel in more than 100 arbitrations and as arbitrator in more than 30 arbitrations. He is President of the French Committee of Arbitration (Comité Français d'arbitrage). Prof. Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler is founding Partner of Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler, Professor emerita at the University of Geneva Law School and President of ICCA. She is also visiting professor at various universities (MIDS, National University of Singapore, Georgetown). Regularly ranked among top ten arbitrators worldwide, she focuses primarily on international commercial and investment arbitration. She has handled over 220 international arbitrations, as presiding, sole or party-appointed arbitrator, or as counsel. She conducts arbitrations under rules of all major institutions.
3 Wendy J. Miles QC is a partner at Debevoise & Plimpton and a member of the International Dispute Resolution Group. Her practice focuses on international arbitration and public international law. She is recognised as one of the market s foremost lawyers in the fields of arbitration and public international law. With over twenty years of experience, she has conducted arbitrations under all the major institutions, as well as conducting ad hoc arbitrations and undertaking significant public international law cases. She has advised a wide range of multinationals, sovereign states and state entities. Reza Mohtashami QC is a partner at Freshfields based in London from where he handles disputes in emerging markets with a focus on the energy, infrastructure and telecoms sectors. He has previously practised in Paris, New York and Dubai. He has represented clients as counsel and advocate in more than 75 arbitrations conducted under a variety of rules in many different jurisdictions. He also regularly sits as arbitrator. Nathalie Voser is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's Dispute Resolution Group focusing on arbitration and complex international litigation. She has acted as arbitrator and counsel on record in a vast number of cases. Her areas of specialization include disputes regarding construction/infrastructure projects, civil engineering and energy related projects (including investor state disputes), pharmaceutical, and automotive industries.
