1 The vehicle licence renewal assistance described below ( the Service ) provided by The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited ( we /us / our ) is subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. You must carefully read and fully understand these terms and conditions, because by using the Service, you accept the terms and conditions as binding between you and us. 2. You must pay careful attention to sections that are in bold italics because they may require you to acknowledge certain facts or place a particular risk or responsibility on you. 3. To request the Service, you must contact our Vehicle Licence Disc Renewals team at vehiclelicensediscrenewal@standardbank.co.za with your vehicle registration number, identity number (if you are a South African citizen), passport number (if you are a foreign national), and contact details ( address and phone number) on which you can be reached between 8am and 5pm daily. If you have contacted us by , we will call you back on the phone number you provided to us in the . The Service will be available Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 5pm. 4. To receive the Service you must meet the following requirements: 4.1 You must be a Standard Bank transactional account customer. This is because payment for the Service is cashless and the costs will be charged against your transactional account. 4.2 You must meet our FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act) requirements. This refers to our Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, which have to be met for us to be compliant with anti-money-laundering laws. We will verify this information through our standard verification process. 4.3 Your vehicle must be registered in South Africa. However, our Services do not currently cater for vehicles registered in Mpumalanga and the Western Cape.

2 4.4 You must have enough funds in your transactional account to cover the licence renewal costs that are due to the Licensing Department, plus the fees we charge for providing the Service to you. 4.5 You must request the Service within the 15-day grace period that applies from the day the vehicle licence expired. Days refer to all days including weekends and official public holidays in South Africa. 5. Consent to use your Personal Information 5.1 For purposes of this clause: Group means Standard Bank Group Limited, its subsidiaries and their subsidiaries, Personal Information means information about an identifiable, natural person and, where applicable, a juristic person, including information about: race; gender; sex; pregnancy; marital status; nationality; ethnic or social origin; colour; sexual orientation; age; physical or mental health; well-being; disability; religion; conscience; belief; culture; language; birth; education; medical, financial, criminal or employment history; any identifying number, symbol, , postal or physical address, telephone number; location; any online identifier or any other particular assignment to the person; biometric information; personal opinions, views or preferences of the person or the views or opinions of another individual about the person; correspondence sent by the person that is implicitly or explicitly of a private or confidential nature or further correspondence that would reveal the contents of the original correspondence; and the name of the person if it appears with other personal information relating to the person or if the disclosure of the name itself would reveal information about the person, and 5.2 Processing means any operation or activity, automated or not, concerning personal information, including: alteration, blocking, collation, collection, consultation, degradation, destruction, dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form, erasure, linking, merging, organisation, receipt, recording, retrieval, storage, updating, modification or use; Process and Processed will have a similar meaning.

3 5.3 Consent You consent to us collecting your Personal Information from you and where lawful and reasonable, from public sources for credit, fraud and compliance purposes, as well as the purposes set out below If you give us Personal Information about or on behalf of another person (including, but not limited to, account signatories, shareholders, principal executive officers, trustees and beneficiaries), you confirm that you are authorised to: (i) give us the Personal Information; (ii) consent on their behalf to the Processing of their Personal Information, specifically any cross-border transfer of Personal Information into and outside the country where the Services are provided; and (iii) receive any privacy notices on their behalf. 5.4 You consent to us Processing your Personal Information: to provide the Service to you in terms of these terms and conditions and any other products and services for which it may apply; to carry out statistical and other analyses to identify potential markets and trends, evaluate and improve the Bank s business (this includes improving existing and developing new products and services); in countries outside the country where the Services are provided. These countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country where the products or services are provided. Where the Bank can, it will ask the receiving party to agree to its privacy policies; by sharing your Personal Information with the Bank s third-party service providers, locally and outside the country where the Services are provided. The Bank shall ask people who provide services to it to agree to the Bank s privacy policies if they need access to any Personal Information to carry out their services; and within the Group.

4 5.5 the Bank s Processing practices can be found in the Group s and the Bank s privacy statements. These statements are available on the Group s websites or on request. 5.6 You must get independent advice if you are unsure about your tax or legal position because your Personal Information is Processed in countries other than where you live. 6. The Service 6.1 We will obtain the quotation indicating the amount that you are required to pay to the Licensing Department. 6.2 Please ensure that the vehicle licences for all other vehicles registered in your name are also renewed. If you do not do so, the Licensing Department will accept your payment for the current vehicle licence renewal (the renewal that is being requested by using our Service), but will not provide you with the new licence disc until the outstanding renewal in respect of your other vehicle/s have been made. You must do this within 21 Days from the licence expiry date to avoid any further penalties for late renewal. Days refer to all days including weekends and official public holidays in South Africa. 6.3 Please ensure that you have settled all outstanding penalties for late renewals or cleared any warrants of arrest before requesting this service. If you do not do so, the Licensing Department will accept your payment for the current vehicle licence renewal, but will not provide you with the new licence disc until the outstanding penalties or warrants have been cleared. You must do this within 21 days from expiry to avoid any further penalties for late renewal. 6.4 If we are unable to source the quotation, we will not be able to provide you with the Service, and we will refer you to your nearest licensing department. 6.5 If we obtain the quotation, we will inform you of the amount payable to the Licensing Department and the amount payable to us for the Service. We will request your consent to deduct the total amount from your transactional account

5 and we will pay the amount for the renewal of the licence to the Licensing Department. 6.6 The renewed licence disc will be delivered to your chosen address in South Africa within 14 Working days after the total amount payable has been deducted from your account. ( Working days will not include weekends or public holidays). The courier will SMS you a day before delivering the licence disc. You will however not be able to respond to this SMS. If you will not be available to accept delivery at the chosen address, you may arrange for someone else to be at the delivery address to accept delivery on your behalf. Should the courier arrive at your delivery address and there is no one to take delivery, the courier will phone you to arrange an alternative delivery time. 7. Fees The fee for our Service is R This fee is separate from the amount that the Licensing Department charges you for the licence renewal. 8. Risk and indemnity 8.1 You accept sole risk and responsibility if any unauthorised person claims to be the authorised person and accepts delivery of your new licence disc at your chosen delivery address. 8.2 You acknowledge that we do not provide you with a renewal licence ourselves, but only assist you in obtaining it from the Licensing Department. You indemnify us against any claims or losses you may suffer as a direct or indirect result of the licence renewal service provided by the Licensing Department, related renewal conditions, charges, processes and any related actions or omissions by them. 9. Complaints and enquiries 9.1 For all enquiries regarding our Service, please our Vehicle Licence Disc Renewal team at vehiclelicensediscrenewal@standardbank.co.za.
