1 Logo Usage Guidelines For internal, distributor and agents use only.
2 Logo Usage Guidelines Internal or external communications, whether printed or produced for online use, must maintain the established CPI brand voice in a clear and consistent manner. Always use the approved CPI logo file(s). The CPI logo, EnPro Industries, Inc. signature and all other branding elements in these files must not be adjusted or altered. Contact the CPI Marketing Department before attempting any deviation from these established guidelines. The CPI logo consists of a blue semi circle, a green semi circle, the letters CPI in grey and the words Compressor Products Intl in a lighter shade of grey. This logo mark must always be paired with the EnPro Industries, Inc. signature (see page 17) in grey type, which is to be located directly below the logo lettering. The logo mark and signature line must be legible and distinguishable from surrounding elements. These two elements may only be separated if sizing or spacing restrictions necessitate the need to do so. Creative executions, marketing materials, promotional products and other items featuring the CPI logo, CPI tagline and EnPro Industries, Inc. signature must offer enough clear space to prominently feature both. This clear space is defined as an area on the creative execution or branding material devoid of other design elements, text or any other interfering aspect. 2
3 CPI Logo Usage (continued) The CPI tagline,, and the full name, Compressor Products Intl, should be included as part of the logo in all print and digital creative executions where space/design reasonably permits. These features should only be left out if space constraints would cause the lettering and logo to be unacceptably small or if the target audience is believed to be sufficiently familiar with the CPI brand. The tagline should only be written horizontally. Always use the approved logo file(s) with the tagline, and do not place the tagline near other logos in a manner in which ownership of the tagline might be confused. The CPI tagline, TM, is trademarked, and should always be written with title casing followed by the ( TM )in all instances, except when used in a quote. CPI Wordmark EnPro Signature Line Always ensure that the CPI logo, CPI tagline and EnPro Industries, Inc. signature have a minimum clear space equal to or greater than a third of x.
4 EnPro Industries, Inc. Signature The EnPro Industries, Inc. signature,, must accompany the CPI logo. By adding the signature line, a standard has been established which will maintain the integrity of the EnPro brand throughout the family of companies. C CPI Wordmark P EnPro Signature Line 4
5 CPI Tagline The CPI tagline,, is to be used on all print and digital creative executions. The tagline should only be written horizontally. Always use the approve logo file(s) with the tagline, and do not place the tagline near other logos in a manner in which ownership of the tagline might be confused. The CPI tagline,, is trademarked, and should always be written with title casing followed by the ( ) in all instances, except when used in a quote. 6 Minimum Size & Alternative Applications When resizing the CPI logo, always ensure that the legibility, appearance and placement of the logo, CPI tagline and the EnPro Industries, Inc. signature are not negatively affected. For the primary logo (the grey-lettered logo with the blue and green elements and the EnPro Industries, Inc. signature), the minimum logo sizing cannot go below 1 (2.54 cm) in width for print use, and cannot be less than 72 pixels wide for online applications. The EnPro Industries, Inc. signature should never be smaller than five points. In any case where proportionality or sizing restrictions will impact the legibility of the tag or force it to be smaller than five points, remove the signature. 7 Logo Color Options The CPI logo is available in full color for a variety of applications. For print, the CMYK version of the logo should be used. For online applications, please use the RGB version of the logo. The PMS version is provided for applications where exact Pantone color matching is necessary. Always attempt to produce the CPI logo using the available files. If the background of the design interferes with these colors, please contact the marketing department before proceeding. The logo may also be reversed in white or black for use on design where the full color logo would not be appropriate, including black and white designs, two-color designs, or instance where the background is too dark to clearly reproduce the full-color logo. 9 Logo Don ts DON TS The CPI logo should: NEVER have extra colors or elements added to it NEVER be reproduced using a different shade of green and/or blue NEVER be shown with a drop shadow NEVER be shown with a graphical icon next to or within it NEVER be stretched in height or width NEVER be used without all logo elements 9
