3 Warnings Review the following Safety Precautions to avoid injury and prevent damage to this product or any other products connected to it. Observe All Terminal Ratings: To avoid shock hazard, observe all ratings and markings on the product. Read this product manual for further ratings information before making connection to the product. Do not apply a voltage to any terminal, including the common terminal that exceeds the maximum rating of that terminal. Avoid exposed circuitry Do not operate when panels and covers are removed. This is a nonserviceable item. Do Not Operate in an Explosive Atmosphere Do Not Operate in Wet/Damp Conditions Ensure that the micro USB connector plug is placed back on the ICE 59 motor after the programming process is complete. If the plug is not reinstalled then the warranty of the motor will be voided. Safety Warning DO NOT directly connect to any device (i. e., laptop, phone, etc) other than that specified in this manual. This could damage the connected device or motor. 4 Product Description The ICE 59 Programming Adapter is used as an interface between GENTEQ Programming Module and ICE 59 Motor for configuration and programming of the motor. Power is supplied through the Programming Adapter. Reference connection diagram below for the following steps. Connect the RJ-45 cable from GENTEQ Programming Module to Programming Adapter. Remove the rubber plug from the ICE 59 motor. Do not dispose of the plug, it will be replaced in Step 7. Connect the Programming Adapter to the micro USB Connector on ICE59 Motor using only the USB to micro USB cable provided. Connect the Motor Power Cable to the Programming Adapter. Connect the alligator clips to the power supply leads of ICE59 motor. Follow instructions as provided with the GENTEQ Serial Box. It will outline the required PC connections as well as instructions to use PC Software for configuration and programming ICE 59 Motor.
