1 5 YEAR LIMITED EXPRESS WARRANTY Cirrus Aircraft Corporation, 4515 Taylor Circle, Duluth, Minnesota 55811, USA ( Cirrus ) provides a limited warranty with respect to each new aircraft it manufactures ( Aircraft ) under the terms and conditions set forth below (the Warranty ): 1. Limited Warranty: Cirrus expressly warrants to the owner of the Aircraft that the Aircraft parts and components covered under this Warranty will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of sixty (60) months after the Warranty Activation Date or 2,000 flight meter hours, whichever occurs first (the Warranty Period ), except for the exterior Aircraft paint for which the Warranty Period is twelve (12) months after the Warranty Activation Date. Warranty Activation Date means the date that the Aircraft is delivered to the original owner or the date that the Aircraft is first placed into service, whichever occurs first. If the Warranty Activation Date for an Aircraft begins on the date that it is first placed into service, Cirrus will advise the original owner of the in service date at the time of the delivery of the Aircraft. Replacement parts or components are covered by this Warranty for the remaining duration of the Warranty Period if installed by Cirrus Authorized Service Centers or other locations designated by Cirrus. 2. Parts and Components Covered: All parts and components included in the Aircraft upon its delivery to the original owner are covered by the Warranty, except as excluded in Section Parts and Components Not Covered, Exclusions, and Actions That Will Void The Warranty: (a) (b) The engine is not covered by the Warranty. Any warranty of the engine will be provided by its manufacturer, Continental Motors, Inc. A copy of the limited warranty offered by this manufacturer will be made available to the owner. The starter and alternator are not covered by the Warranty for the first twenty-four (24) months after the Warranty Activation Date or 1,000 flight meter hours, whichever occurs first. During this period, any warranty of the starter and alternator will be provided by their manufacturer, Continental Motors, Inc. A copy of the limited warranty offered by that manufacturer will be made available to the owner. Cirrus will cover the starter and alternator

2 under its Warranty for any remaining portion of the Warranty Period. (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) The avionics are not covered by the Warranty for the first thirtysix (36) months after the Warranty Activation Date or 1,000 flight meter hours, whichever occurs first. During this period, any warranty of the avionics will be provided by their manufacturer, Garmin. A copy of the limited warranty offered by that manufacturer will be made available to the owner. Cirrus will cover the avionics under its Warranty for any remaining portion of the Warranty Period. The propeller is not covered by the Warranty for the first twelve (12) months after the Warranty Activation Date or 1,000 flight meter hours, whichever occurs first. During this period, any warranty of the propeller will be provided by its manufacturer, Hartzell Propeller Inc. A copy of the limited warranty offered by that manufacturer will be made available to the owner. Cirrus will cover the propeller under its Warranty for any remaining portion of the Warranty Period. The Warranty does not apply to parts and components which have been subject to misuse, abuse, negligence, neglect or accident, or which have been repaired or altered in any way which in the judgment of Cirrus affects adversely their performance, stability or reliability. The Warranty is void and does not apply to the Aircraft or to any of its parts and components if the Aircraft or its parts and components have not been operated, inspected, serviced and maintained in strict accordance with all manuals, bulletins, advisories, operating and inspection instructions, service and maintenance instructions, customer service information notices, and similar information provided and issued by Cirrus or applicable manufacturers, including the Federal Aviation Administration approved Aircraft Maintenance Manual for the Aircraft, and airworthiness directives and other rules and regulations issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. The Warranty does not apply to the replacement of parts and components in connection with normal maintenance services (such as light bulbs, brake linings, filters, hoses, and tires) or to normal maintenance services (such as engine adjustments,

3 cleaning, control rigging, brake and other mechanical adjustments, pre- and post-flight servicing, routine rigging and calibration checks, and maintenance inspections). (h) (i) (j) (k) (l) The Warranty does not apply to parts or components that have deteriorated due to normal wear and tear or exposure (such as paint, upholstery, soft trim and rubber-like items) or to fluids, gasses and agents subject to normal operational consumption (such as fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, deice fluid, oxygen, nitrogen, battery electrolytes, lubricants, polishes, waxes and cleaning agents). The Warranty does not apply to parts or components that have deteriorated due to extraordinary wear and tear or exposure (such as hail, volcanic eruption, acid rain, dust or sand storms, known corrosive environments such as coastal airport locations, damage caused by flying objects such as birds or ice, chemical discharges, and other unpredictable phenomenon, whether natural or manmade, which is beyond the control of Cirrus). The Warranty does not apply to appurtenances or other accessories, such as head sets, air supply hoses, and cannulas, associated with equipment supplied by other manufacturers. The Warranty does not apply to parts or components not included in the Aircraft upon its delivery to the original owner. The Warranty is void and does not apply to the Aircraft or to any of its parts and components if products, components or systems not supported or approved by Cirrus are installed on the Aircraft. 4. No Warranty Period Extension: Repair or replacement of any parts or components under the Warranty will not extend the Warranty Period set forth above. 5. Exclusive Remedies: Cirrus s sole and exclusive obligation under this Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at Cirrus s option, any covered part or component which it determines is defective within the Warranty Period. If the design of the replacement part or component is different from the design of the part or component that is being replaced, Cirrus will install the replacement part or component and will pay for any retrofitting or other work required to install it. Cirrus reserves the right to

4 replace parts and components with serviced parts and components. The repair or replacement of parts and components under this Warranty will be made without charge to the owner for the replacement parts or components and for the labor involved in removing, installing and/or repairing the parts and components, provided that the labor is performed by a Cirrus Authorized Service Center or other location designated by Cirrus. Cirrus will also pay for the costs of shipment of the parts and components to the Cirrus Authorized Service Center or other location designated by Cirrus, provided that payment for shipments in the continental United States will be limited to ground freight and payment for overseas shipments will be at the most economical international rate. Import duties and sales or use taxes, if any, applicable to the replacement parts or components or to the labor performed under this Warranty are the owner s responsibility. THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT REMEDIES DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES OFFERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL CIRRUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, TREBLE OR OTHER DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE OR LOSS OF PROFITS UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, INCLUDING CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. If for any reason, these remedies are held to have failed of their essential purpose, Cirrus shall not be liable for an amount in excess of the price paid for the Aircraft. 6. Procedure for Obtaining Warranty Service: To receive the Warranty remedies described in Section 5, the owner must (a) notify a Cirrus Authorized Service Center or Cirrus within thirty (30) days of discovery of the alleged defect, and (b) promptly arrange for delivery of the Aircraft to a Cirrus Authorized Service Center or other location designated by Cirrus. Cirrus will furnish the location of Cirrus Authorized Service Centers upon request. 7. Disclaimer of Other Warranties: TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CIRRUS MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE AIRCRAFT OR ITS PARTS AND COMPONENTS EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN. CIRRUS NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN. TO

5 THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CIRRUS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NONINFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING BY COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. IF APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS THE DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. 8. Miscellaneous: This Warranty constitutes the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to such subject matter in any way, including any purchase agreement between the parties, or any purchase order or bill of sale from the owner. This Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, excluding its choice of law rules and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In the event of any legal action to enforce or interpret this Warranty, the sole and exclusive venue shall be the state or federal courts of Minnesota. This Warranty shall be construed and interpreted in English. Failure at any time to enforce any of the terms of this Warranty shall not be construed as a waiver of such provision. All modifications to the terms of this Warranty must be made in a writing signed by both parties. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Whenever possible, each provision of this Warranty shall be interpreted in such manner as to be effective and valid under applicable law, but if any provision of this Warranty is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the remaining provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect, and in any event Cirrus s liability shall never exceed the price paid for the Aircraft.
