1 Northern Ohio Honda Dealers: Secret Word Sweepstakes Official Rules NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, NOR WILL A PURCHASE IMPROVE ONE S CHANCES OF WINNING. WJW Fox 8 and Northern Ohio Honda Dealers (collectively, Sponsor ) will conduct the Northern Ohio Honda Dealers: Secret Word Sweepstakes ( the Sweepstakes ) as described in these Official Rules ( Rules ). Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes each entrant s full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Rules. All decisions of Sponsor are final and absolute and not subject to inquiry or appeal. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Entrants must be legal US residents 18 years of age or older, hold a current, valid Ohio Drivers License, and reside in the Cleveland Akron (Canton) Market as defined by the Nielsen Company (the Sweepstakes Area ). Entrants must also, as of the Sweepstakes start date, own or have access to a Wi-Fi enabled mobile device. Employees of Sponsor, Tribune Media Company, the Sweepstakes participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other radio or television stations, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term immediate family includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as in laws, or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related. Void where prohibited and outside the Sweepstakes Area. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins February 25, 2017 at 12:01 AM ET, and ends on March 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM ET (the Sweepstakes Period ). Entries will be accepted daily as set forth herein during the Sweepstakes Period from 12:01 AM 7:00 PM ET. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, entrants must have the Secret Word of the Day (the Secret Word ). To obtain the Secret Word, users will need to go to fox8.com or open or download the free FOX 8 App on their smart phone, click on the Secret Word link, and play the video to see the Secret Word. Each Secret Word is valid only on the day it is released, and there will be a new Secret Word each day of the Sweepstakes Period. Once you have the Secret Word, text the secret word to the specified short code from your mobile device. Standard message and data rates may apply. Limit one entry per person, per day. Entries in excess of this limit will be disqualified. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, the malfunction of any communications network or equipment, or computer hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. All received entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. If there is a dispute about who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the communications account identified. The authorized account holder is deemed the natural person who is assigned to a phone number by a communications provider, service provider, or any company the phone has been issued and the services

2 are billed. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of a communications account will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. FINALIST SELECTION AND VERIFICATION: Each day during the Sweepstakes Period one finalist ( Finalist ) will be chosen in a random drawing from among all eligible entries that day. The odds of being selected as a Finalist depend on the number of eligible entries received for each drawing. Northern Ohio Honda Dealers personnel will attempt to contact the nine Finalists by phone. Finalists agree to complete and submit a credit application for use of any credit bureau investigation by AHFC to determine financial qualifications as set forth herein and Finalists will also be subject to identity verification. A potential Finalist will be disqualified and Sponsor may select another Finalist by random drawing from remaining eligible entries (at Sponsor s sole discretion and time permitting) if: (a) a potential Finalist does not respond within 48 hours of first notification attempt; (b) a potential Finalist does not fulfill the eligibility requirements; (c) a potential Finalist refuses to provide the necessary information to qualify them for the auto lease; (d) a potential Finalist does not adhere to the Official Rules; (e) a potential Finalist does not sign and return any required documents or provide required information by deadlines set by Sponsor; (f) a potential Finalist is unwilling or unable to attend and participate in the Event (defined below); and/or (g) if the Finalist notification is returned as undeliverable, refused, or declined. The Finalist may be required, prior to the Grand Prize winner announcement, to review the terms and conditions that qualify an individual to enter into a vehicle lease from American Honda Finance Corporation ( AHFC ), and to verify that the Finalist qualifies for the lease under the terms stated therein. WINNER SELECTION AND VERIFICATION: FOX 8 will invite all Finalists to a Cleveland-area location to be determined for a winner selection event on or about March 8, 2017 (the Event ). At the Event, the Finalists will receive their Runner-Up Prize. Finalists will open their Runner-Up Prize live on-air, and the Runner-Up Prize package that contains a Golden Ticket will be the Grand Prize winner. The Finalists agree to comply with and conform to generally accepted broadcast standards with regard to conduct, dress and language during his or her potential appearances on Fox 8, and such compliance will be determined by Fox 8 staff in their sole discretion. Fox 8 reserves the right to reschedule the date of the Event because of breaking news, technical problems or unforeseen scheduling conflicts. Fox 8 reserves the right to conduct the Event without broadcasting it on television, or to record the Event and broadcast it on a later date. Odds of winning the Grand Prize, once the Finalists have been chosen, are one in nine. Finalists must be present to win at the Event for the Grand Prize reveal and delivery. All Finalists will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release at the Event. Winner will also be required to complete a lease application package, including applicable release forms and waivers. Only printed or typed applications will be accepted. Winner may be subject to one or more background checks, and winner must cooperate with such background checks. Background checks will be conducted in accordance with the law and may include civil, criminal, financial, driver history and any other type of background check deemed necessary by designated agents of Sponsor. The winner may be required to provide additional information if deemed necessary by Sponsor. Potential winner will be disqualified and Sponsor may

3 select another winner by random drawing from remaining Finalists (at Sponsor s sole discretion and time permitting) if: (a) potential winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements; (b) potential winner refuses to provide the necessary information to qualify the winner for the lease or cooperate in the background checks; (c) potential winner does not adhere to the Official Rules; and/or (d) potential winner does not sign and return any required documents or provide required information by deadlines set by Sponsor. PRIZE: There are nine Runner-Up Prizes. The Runner-Up Prize winner will each receive virtual reality goggles. The approximate retail value ( ARV ) of the Runner-Up Prize is $ There is one Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner will receive: a 24-month, pre-paid lease on a Honda 2017 Civic LX Sedan/Automatic with 12,000 miles per year (24,000 total miles). The ARV of the Grand Prize is $6,444. Runner-Up Prizes and Grand Prize are all provided by Honda of Northern Ohio in exchange for promotional consideration. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winners. The winner cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize from WJW within any 30 day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered (although one winner will receive a Runner-Up Prize and a Grand Prize). Winner must claim the prize by the time of the Event or the prize will be forfeited. The Northern Ohio Honda Dealers reserve the right to disqualify any winner who does not qualify under all terms and conditions of leasing a vehicle from AHFC. The entrant must be over the age of 18; must have a Tier 1 credit rating with a 720 Beacon Rating to qualify for the two-year lease with 12,000 miles per year (Jay Honda will make the lease payments); winner must have full coverage insurance for the term of the lease as specified by AHFC; must comply with all AHFC lease terms; will complete any and all necessary paperwork; supply any and all requested information and documentation that is requested by Jay Honda or AHFC; and must have a current valid Ohio Drivers License. Grand Prize winner must adhere to all terms and conditions of the lease agreement, including return of the vehicle at the end of the two-year lease. Grand Prize winner is responsible for routine maintenance of the vehicle. Grand Prize winner will also be responsible for mileage in excess of the annual limit set forth in the lease agreement at the rate stated in the lease agreement, and Grand Prize winner assumes full responsibility for damage to the vehicle, excess wear and tear charges, and other liabilities at lease end as specified in the lease agreement. Sponsor does not make, nor in any manner is responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize including but not limited to its quality, fitness for purpose or mechanical condition. Grand Prize winner will be responsible for all optional equipment, title, license, insurance and registration fees required in claiming the vehicle, applicable taxes as well as all other expenses relating to the receipt and use of vehicle, including any travel and transportation costs associated with collecting the vehicle. All other costs not specifically stated herein as being awarded are the responsibility of the winner.

4 The winner must sign a statement acknowledging he or she is responsible for all associated local, state, and federal taxes and will provide their Social Security number in order to receive a Federal IRS form PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the Sweepstakes, the entrant consents to Sponsor s use of his or her name, state of residence, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes online, for broadcast, and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection with the Sweepstakes, without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. TELEPHONE, DELIVERY & COMPUTER DISCLAIMER: Sponsor disclaims all liability for the inability of a participant to complete or continue a telephone call due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, acts beyond Sponsor control, or otherwise. Sponsor disclaims all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method. TAXES: Any valuation of the prize stated above is based on available information provided to Sponsor, and the value of prize awarded to winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. All taxes, including federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner must provide Sponsor with valid identification before prize will be awarded. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating, entrants agree: (a) to the Rules and decisions of Sponsor, which will be final in all respects; (b) to release, discharge, and hold harmless Sponsor, Tribune Media Company, any entity involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes and their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from all liability, injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including but not limited to death or property damage resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes related activity; (c) that the foregoing parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guaranty, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to any prize. Sponsor will have the sole discretion to administer the Sweepstakes and interpret and apply these Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit any entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes if, at its sole discretion, Sponsor finds such entrant to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, or if such entrant shows a disregard for, or attempts to circumvent, these Rules, or acts: (a) in a manner the Sponsor determines to be not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner. Sponsor assumes no liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; or (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Sweepstakes. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Rules, Sponsor may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to Sponsor through information technology systems in Sponsor s control, but Sponsor will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source. Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Rules or the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any

5 right with respect to any term of these Rules, will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of Sponsor s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance. If there is any conflict between any term of these Rules and any of the entry or marketing materials used in connection with the Sweepstakes, the terms of the Rules will govern. Other than the prize received by the Grand Prize winner, no entrant will be entitled to receive any wages, benefits, fees or other compensation whatsoever as a result of participating in the Sweepstakes. Any expenses incurred by the applicant during the entry process are the sole responsibility of each applicant and Sponsor will not issue reimbursement for any expenses. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. All entrants agree, by participation in the Sweepstakes, to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in Cleveland, which will be the exclusive forum for any dispute regarding any Rule or activity associated with the Sweepstakes. Ohio law will govern this Sweepstakes, without regard to Ohio s choice of law rules. MISCELLANEOUS: Each entrant agrees to abide by these Rules. If for any reason, this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause that corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion of the Sweepstakes. If Sponsor terminates the Sweepstakes, it will determine the Finalists by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the Sweepstakes termination and determine the winner by random drawing from among the Finalists. If Sponsor terminates or modifies the Sweepstakes, Sponsor will post notice at participating Honda dealers and at the Honda display at the auto show and will announce the termination on the Fox 8 News at 10 PM.
