1 Official Rules for the Expedia Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad s 2017 Hot Spots Sweepstakes In these Official Rules, the term you refers to any person who enters, or who wishes to enter, the Sweepstakes. 1. Eligibility: The Expedia Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad 2017 Hot Spots Sweepstakes ( Sweepstakes ) is open only to legal residents of Malaysia who are at least twenty one (21) years old at the time of entry and who are an American Express Cardmember issued by Malayan Banking Berhad (Co. No k). Employees of AAE Travel Pte. Ltd. ( Sponsor ), Expedia, Inc. ( Expedia ), and employees of Cards Marketing Department from Malayan Banking Berhad ( Malayan Banking Berhad ) are not eligible to enter. To be clear, employees of Malayan Banking Berhad who are not employed in the Cards Marketing Department are eligible to enter. With respect to Sponsor and Expedia, employees of each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, distributors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, governors, related entities, partners, partnerships, principals, agents, attorneys, insurers, licensees, sponsors, representatives, shareholders, successors and assigns, and advertising/promotion agencies as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members (whether or not related) of those employees, are not eligible to enter. 2. Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 am Malaysian Time ( MYT ) on 15 March 2017 and ends at 11:59 pm MYT on 31 May 2017 (the Sweepstakes Period ). Entries submitted before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be eligible. Sponsor s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. 3. How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, the participants are to make any purchase (stand-alone hotel, stand-alone flight, flight + hotel or flight + hotel + car package, stand-alone car rental, or activity, each an Eligible Purchase ) on Expedia.com.my with their valid American Express Card issued by Maybank and including a valid address. Each such Eligible Purchase is automatically awarded with (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw. For the avoidance of doubt, entrants who subsequently cancel their Expedia Eligible Purchase before travel will not be eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. Failure to provide accurate and complete information will render the entry invalid.

2 The participants to Sweepstakes are subject to the Sponsor s Terms of Service published on By participating in the Sweepstakes, the participants acknowledge and agree that they are providing information (including personal data) to Sponsor and to Maybank. Maybank may contact the participants in order to market or advertise its products or services. It is possible to unsubscribe from Maybank s marketing communications programs, at any time, by following their opt-out marketing options. Note: All eligible entries will have an equal chance of winning. 4. Grand Prize Draw: The Grand Prize Draw will be held on or about 07 June 2017 at 10:00 am Central European Time in London, England, United Kingdom at Expedia Office located at Block 1, Angel Square, London, EC1V 1NS. The Sponsor or its agent will select one (1) winner in a random drawing among all the eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period. The odds of being selected depend entirely on the number of eligible entries received. The Sponsor will notify the winner via using the contact information submitted by him/ her during the Expedia purchase made at the time of entry. In the event that the winner fails to claim his or her prize within ten (10) days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and the Sponsor will have no further obligations of whatsoever nature to such winner. In such circumstance, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing among all remaining eligible entries two (2) business days after the expiry of the ten (10) days notification period at the same location as the original drawing to select a new winner. The newly selected winner will be notified by within two (2) business days of the drawing, using the contact details provided by him/her during the Expedia purchase made at the time of entry. 5. Entry Requirements: Entries submitted by any other method other than the method listed above in Section 3 will be invalid and not eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or practices, and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Any entries that: (i) violate any third party rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights or trademark rights; or (ii) contain content that is obscene, indecent, or otherwise inappropriate, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will not be eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. 6. Sponsor s Rights to Submissions: By entering into the Sweepstakes, the participants agree to grant the Sponsor, its agents, licensees, and assignees an irrevocable, perpetual (non-exclusive) license and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, or otherwise use the entry and all elements of such entry, including, without limitation, in perpetuity, for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional notification, review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party.

Winner Requirements: The winner will be required to execute and return to the Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within ten (10) days of date of being sent to winner. If these documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor s discretion, an alternate potential winner may be selected by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries received. 8. Prize: One (1) RM15,000 Expedia travel voucher. The travel voucher is valid for stand-alone hotel or package (flight + hotel) booking made on Expedia.com.my from 1 June 2017 through 31 May 2018 (travel period: 01 June 2017 through 31 May 2018). Multiple bookings are allowed, subject to a maximum value ( Voucher Value ) of RM15,000. In the event that the actual booking value exceeds the Voucher Value, the difference is payable by the winner. The travel voucher cannot be redeemed against hotel stays at the following hotel brands: The following are not included in the prize and are the responsibility of the travellers: Hotel and airfare taxes Stand-alone flights Car rental Activities Incidentals, including, without limitation, travel insurance, meals and spending money All airport transfers Winner and any travel companions must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents such as valid passports and visas and should consult their medical practitioner and check travel warnings with the relevant authorities (e.g. DFAT) prior to travelling. Sponsor, AMEX, Maybank and prize providers are not responsible for any cancellation, delay or rescheduling of travel or any costs incurred by the winner and any travel companion as a result. Any prize details which are not specified in these Official Rules above will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The prize is not transferrable or assignable and must be accepted as awarded. The prize is not exchangeable with cash. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason. The winner is responsible for all taxes, fees and expenses payable on the prize including, without limitation, the federal, state and local sales and income taxes, luxury taxes and any other costs incurred in claiming or redeeming the prize.

General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, proper play or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes; or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and award the prize by random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of the termination. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek any and all remedies available from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Sweepstakes, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. The Sponsor s failure to enforce any part of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to the Sponsor by mail or via the internet shall not be deemed as proof of receipt of that communication by the Sponsor. The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void outside of Malaysia and wherever is prohibited. 10. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, the participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, AMEX, Maybank, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the Released Parties ) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of the prize and any portion thereof (including any travel/activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, or network lines; (c) any errors on the Sweepstakes site that may impact entry; (d) printing errors; (e) lost, late, misdirected, garbled, inaccurate, or undeliverable entries or mail; (f) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes; or (g) injury or damage to persons or property. The participants further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney s fees. To the extent permitted by law, the participants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. 11. Personal Data: Any information collected from the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by the entrants at the time of entry, these Official Rules, and the Sponsor s Privacy Policy found at Each entrant expressly agrees to the use of his/her personal information for such purpose. The following information will be collected from each entrant for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, and may also be used by Released Parties to contact the potential winners: entrant name, date of birth, address and address. The Released Parties will not sell, share or otherwise disclose any information collected from the Sweepstakes in any manner to any unauthorised third parties, other than those who require such information to fulfil its obligations in connection with the Sweepstakes, unless the entrant has given his /her prior express consent to the Released Parties to disclose such information to any other third parties. The Released Parties will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the entrants personal information is treated securely and in accordance with the Sponsor s Privacy Policy, these Official Rules and all applicable personal data and privacy laws.

Disputes: Except where prohibited by law, the participants agree that any and all matters, disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually (and not any form of class action), and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of Washington, USA. 13. Choice of Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participants and the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of Malaysia. 14. Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by AAE Travel Pte. Ltd.
