Research Projects (Under-Graduate Level) 1. INNOVATION PROJECT ( ): Evaluating the socio-economic changes and its political consequences in the Kashmir valley: A study of the railway network as the game changer in the district of Badgaon since 2008 Dr. Anju Gupta, Associate professor, Mathematics Department, Kalindi College along with Ms. D. Bhaumik (Associate Professor, English Department) and Dr. Sangita Dhal (Associate Professor, Political Science Department) had undertaken the Innovation Project KC-202 from Delhi University entitled Evaluating the socio-economic changes and its political consequences in the Kashmir valley: A study of the railway network as the game changer in the district of Badgaon since Dr. Anju Gupta with her Team 2. Research Project: KC/Ad2015/03: Mathematical Modeling by Differential Equations (College Funded under Antardhvani Award Money) Teachers: Ms. Neelam Bareja Associate Professor 1. Bharti Yadav, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 2. Kritika Ahuja, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. Dr. Prempal Singh Assistant Professor 3. Chanchal, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 4.Tanvi Sachdeva, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 5. Megha Goel, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 6. Shruti Chauhan, B.Sc.(H) IIYr. 7. Bhavana Singh, B.Sc.(H) II Yr.
Teachers and students during a visit to National School of Planning and Architecture The research project is to study traffic flow in Indian metropolitan cities. We will propose a Mathematical model based on differential equations. Objective: Introduction of Traffic Problem in real world Mathematical model to accesses the traffic in various shifts 3. Research Project: Mathematical Modeling Case study: Transportation Problem (Self Funded) Proposal for smooth traffic flow Teacher: Dr. Prempal Singh Assistant Professor 1. Kritika Ahuja B. Sc. (H) III Yr. 2. Mini Rohilla B. Sc. (H) III Yr. 3. Bharti Yadav B. Sc. (H) III Yr. 4. Bhawana B. Sc. (H) II Yr. 5. Shruti Chauhan B. Sc. (H) II Yr.
There is a type of linear programming problem that may be solved using a simplified version of the simplex technique called transportation method. Because of its major application in solving problems involving several product sources and several destinations of products, this type of problem is frequently called the transportation problem. Although the formation can be used to represent more general assignment and scheduling problems as well as transportation and distribution problems, the two common objectives of such problems are either minimize or maximize the cost of shipping units to destinations. Objective: Real World Situation Alternating Optimal Solutions Formation of Transportation Matrix Developing an Optimal Solution Initial Feasible Solution
Students Teacher: Ms. Sunita Sharma Assistant Professor 4. Research Project: Fuzzy Optimization (Self-funded) 1. Anshul Jain, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 2. Ayushi, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. 3. Kirti Sharma, B.Sc.(H) III Yr.
Ms. Sunita Sharma with students The research project is focusing on problems which deal with optimal decision making in a fuzzy environment i.e. when precise data is not available. Objective: Introduction of Fuzzy Sets Modeling vague data by fuzzy numbers and fuzzy intervals Investigating solution methods for fuzzy programming problems
5. Research Project: Applications of Ring Theory (Self-funded) Teacher: Dr. Abhishek Singh 1. Anuja, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. Assistant Professor, Mathematics 2. Diksha Sharma, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. Department 3. Neelima, B.Sc.(H) III Yr. Kalindi College, University of Delhi Dr. Abhishek Kumar Singh with Students In this research an attempt will be made to study some recent problems of ring theory with their applications in the mathematical and physical sciences.
