1 AGENDA Day 0: July 1, 2018 Arrivals and Registrations Registration/Reception Desk Day 1: July 2 nd, 2018 Pillar workshops Plenary + 3 Parallel sessions Day 2: July 3 rd, 2018 Pillar Working Groups Plenary + 3 Parallel sessions Day 3: July 4 th, 2018 Sharing experiences and Learning from others Plenary Day 4: July 5 th, 2018 SSATP General Assembly Plenary Day 5: July 6 th, 2018 SSATP Executive Committee Meting WBG and AfDB Projects portfolio review Closed session Plenary/Parallel TBD Day 0: Sunday, July 1 st, 2018 Registration opened from 4:00-7:00 PM PROGRAMME Day 1 and 2: Monday, July 2 nd & Tuesday July 3 rd, 2018 Welcome of participants, Pillar workshops and Working groups (Parallel sessions) The SSATP Pillar workshops day will have the following objective: Present one or two case studies or a structured discussion on a select topic to create awareness and share knowledge under each of the three Pillars of the Third Development Plan (DP3) Pillar A: Regional Integration: Pillar A will hold the workshop and the working group through a Regional Economic Community Transport Coordination Committee (REC TCC) platform. The REC TCC meeting brings together participants from the Regional Economic Communities, the corridor management Institutions, the transport and logistics industry stakeholders regional associations, international and continental organizations and development partners. It will therefore encompass the agenda items of day 1 (workshop) and day 2 (pillar working group and partnership). The specific objectives are: i. disseminate knowledge and share experiences; ii. disseminate best practices on regional integration issues amongst members; iii. promote dialogue between RECs to enhance their functioning; iv. increase the ownership of the regional integration work program through the review of the progress report and the update the pillar work program; and v. nominate a new REC TCC chair for a two-year term. Participants: SSATP PMT, Pillar A Leader, working group members, sponsors, non-sponsors guests and local guests.

Pillar B: Urban Transports and Mobility: Technical and Policy support for Urban Transport and Mobility The objective of the workshop on the UTM pillar is to: i. disseminate knowledge on the concept of a holistically integrated urban transport policy and strategy development towards making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. ii. share findings of the integrated urban transport study in the first group of 8 cities, based on the EASI concept framework; iii. raise awareness of decision makers on urban transports in the digital era in Africa cities. Participants: SSATP PMT, Pillar B Leader, working group members, selected partners, Development partners and local guests 1.3. Pillar C: Road safety: Validation workshop on development of an African road safety data observatory and the minimum indicators Measuring road safety performance is essential to be able to follow progress regarding the road safety related Sustainable Development Goals. Today, for most African countries there are big gaps between national official statistics and estimates by the World Health Organization published in the Global status report on road safety. Better understanding data and improving knowledge on road safety performance is essential to be able to design strategies and measures to effectively reduce the number of road casualties. SSATP and UNECA engaged a consultant to review processes for road safety data collection in Africa and to propose a set of indicators for all countries to measure. The objective of the workshop on the development of the road safety observatory will be to discuss with member countries on the: i. agreed minimum set of road safety indicators to be measured and monitored by each country based on the consultant report; ii. the interest and modality of setting up an African Road Safety Observatory, building on discussions held in earlier meeting; iii. the development of leadership skills in road safety. Participants: SSATP PMT, Pillar C Leader, working group members, select partners and external guests and local guests Day 3: Wednesday, July 4 th, 2018 Sharing experiences and Learning from others The sessions will have the following objective: Learn from good practices and share experiences in the three thematic areas of the SSATP DP3 and draw lessons for the continent. Participants: Members of the working groups, members of the General Assembly, development partners, private sector

3 Day 4: Thursday, July 5 th, 2018 General Assembly Th AGM will be launched through a High-Level Panel (Ministers and Mayors) Urban Mobility (Key Challenges and opportunities for UTM management: Perspective from Transport Ministries, Local Government, Academia and Civil Society) The SSATP General Assembly will have the following objectives: Welcome new members (if any); Reflect on the two years of the SSATP DP3 implementation (successes, weaknesses and adjustments); Endorse the SSATP annual report; Adopt the SSATP DP3 implementation until its completion (December 31, 2019) Register candidates for the next AGM; Handover from Senegal to Nigeria Participants: As defined in SSATP statutes Day 5: Friday, July 6 th, 2018 SSATP EC Meeting & AfDB and WB Portfolio Review 5.1. SSATP Executive Committee (EC) meeting Closed session Participants: SSATP PTM and EC members 5.2. AfDB and WBG staff to conduct a Portfolio Review. Parallel session (Plenary or Parallel) (TBD) The objective of the joint portfolio review is to share information of pipelines and active projects, to strengthen the collaboration and create more synergies. Given the current WB Transport Practice structure in the Africa Region, it could be organized in plenary or in parallel sessions. Participants: SSATP PTM and AfDB members
