4 15:30 17:00 Group C Financial Inclusion Strategy for Migrant Workers Migrant workers need access to financial services to help them through the three stages of migration. In pre-departure stage, cheaper credit sources are vital for them. Limited knowledge and high risk profile are the two main problems. During migration access to remittances and insurance services are important. Once again insufficient knowledge, limited time to access, and low understanding of the claim procedures are the major hindrances. In post-migration, access to savings and credit service would be beneficial. Low ability to save, poor credit profile and inappropriate financial instruments are some of bigger obstacles. The discussion will focus on finding solutions to these problems. Migrant Workers & Access to Finance (Remittance, Credit, Savings, & Insurance); Financial Literacy Training Where is the gap?
