2 SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DATED JUNE 2, 206 BETWEEN THE CITY OF WICHITA, KANSAS PARTY OF THE FIRST PART, HEREINAFTER CALLED THE CITY" AND TRANSYSTEMS CORPORATION PARTY OF THE SECOND PART, HEREINAFTER CALLED THE ENGINEER" WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, there now exists an Agreement ( dated June 2, 206) between the two parties covering engineering services to be provided by the ENGINEER in conjunction with the construction o improvements to TRAFFIC SIGNAL TIMING/ OPTIMIZATION ( Project No _ ). WHEREAS, Paragraph IV. B. o the above reerenced Agreement provides that additional work be perormed and additional compensation be paid on the basis o a Supplemental Agreement duly entered into by the parties, and WHEREAS, it is the desire o both parties that the ENGINEER provide additional services required or the PROJECT and receive additional compensation ( as revised herein): NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as ollows: A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The description o the improvements that the CITY intends to construct and thereater called the" PRO- JECT" as stated on page o the above reerenced Agreement is hereby amended to include the ollowing: Prepare additional traic signal study or the Downtown Wichita area (see Attached or details) B. PAYMENT PROVISIONS The ee in Section IV. COMPLETION The ENGINEER agrees to complete and deliver the ield notes, preliminary and inal plans ( including inal tracings), speciications and estimates to the CITY within the time allotted or the project as stipulated below; EXCEPT that the ENGINEER shall not be responsible or held liable or delays occasioned by the actions or inactions o the CITY or other agencies, or or other unavoidable delays beyond the control o the ENGINEER. a) Field check plans o the project or distribution to utilities by n/ a. b) Oice check plans by November, 208. c) Completion o all work required by this agreement ( including submittal o inal approved plans, ield notes, and related project documents by December, 208. D. 4 t le SCOPE OF SERVICES ITS DESIGN, TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTES 8/ 9/ 208 Project Understanding The purpose o this study is to develop ITS elements, including connecting traic signals ( approximately 43 signals) along the arterial network streets in downtown Wichita with KDOT and Sedgwick County resources at the Traic Management Center ( TMC) and City Hall. The iber route is approximately illustrated with the purple. blue and green shaded routes below. In addition, new controllers or upgraded cards and connection to iber will be installed to each signal location. KDOT will be provided a redundant loop to the TMC and iber to Hillside and US- 54 and Sycamore and US- 54 or uture access along US- 54. It is anticipated that two 44 count single mode iber optic cables will be provided in two separate conduits in addition to two spare conduits or the purple shaded routes. R' ' ir.., I. Plans replacing existing controllers and iber communication to the proposed signals is included. Project Tasks Phase 00 Plan Development Plans Develop plans to retroit the existing signals along the shaded routes with new controllers, GPS clocks, and iber switch. Signal controllers will be upgraded to support automated signal perormance measures and perorm high deinition data logging. GPS clock synchronization will be added to the signals as well.

5 i I0. It is anticipated the approximately 43 signal sites will be upgraded with new controllers, GPS clock synchronization and iber switches and connections. 02. The plans are anticipated to have two reviews ( Field check and Final check) and will be let by the city o Wichita. The plans are expected to have a key map, signal ITS Layout sheet, Signal/ ITS wiring diagram, iber splicing diagrams in addition to other miscellaneous details and speciications. Field check plans are anticipated to be looking at locations only, and order o magnitude costs. Detailed costs will be developed as each location is inalized. Fee: The plan design work ( Phase 00) will be completed or a ee o$ 70, 000. Fee includes one ( I) site visit to each signalized intersection. Assumptions: The ollowing is a list o assumptions developed in conjunction with the proposed work: I. It is assumed that the city will help solicit eedback rom other agencies involved in the project which include the KDOT. Although, other agencies are involved the city o Wichita is the lead agency and will serve as the primary point o contact. 2. The city o Wichita will grant VPN access( or other remote access) to TranSystems to test connections. 3. No signal design is assumed as part o this project 4. No aesthetics or lighting design is assumed or this project. 5. City o Wichita Speciications supplemented with KDOT Construction Speciications will be used as the governing speciications or the project. 6. English units will be used or this project. 7. The City will prepare base speciications, contract documents and perorm bidding services. 8. No permitting or environmental mitigation is assumed as part o this project 9. Construction services are not considered part o this agreement; TranSystems can provide construction services through a supplemental agreement i needed.
