3 MONGOLIA SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT VISION 2030 (2016) Mongolia`s Sustainable Development Vision-2030 is approved by the Resolution No. 19 of the Parliament on February 5 th, It has 4 pillars, 44 goals within 14 sectors and 3 stages of implementation. Sustainable economic development 7 sectors, 22 goals Sustainable social development 3 sectors, 12 goals Sustainable environmental development 3 sectors, 6 goals Sustainable development governance 4 goals

9 WORK PLAN FOR EVALUATING CONTENT OF POLICY DOCUMENTS WITH COMMON METHODOLOGY Methodology Formulated an evaluation process as advised by the Stockholm Environment Institute of Sweden. Experience It is being tested by certain sectors such as mining and energy. Training Aiming to train policy planners in all areas. Assessment The evaluation process will include participation from all ministries and public institutions involved in policy making/issues.

13 ҮНДЭСНИЙ ENSURING ХӨГЖЛИЙН NO ГАЗАР ONE IS LEFT BEHIND AND AT RISK OF BEING LEFT BEHIND Leaving No One Behind also requires reducing inequalities and disparities Poverty declined significantly in (from 39.2 to 21.6%) but increased in (to 29.6%). Incomes of many households in Mongolia are centered around the poverty line, thus these households remain vulnerable to falling back into poverty NSO There are a number of reasons why people are being left behind : - Gaining economic growth does not bring equality, - Accessing inequality in social services - Rural-urban difference

15 MONGOLIA VOLUNTARY NATIONAL REVIEW 2019 The national reviews is expected to serve as a basis for the regular reviews by the high-level political forum (HLPF), meeting under the auspices of ECOSOC. In 2016, 22 countries, In 2017, 43 countries reported implementation of SDGs In 2018, 47 countries In 2019, currently 51 countries are planning to report, including Mongolia.
