4 CHAPTER 2 ABOUT US National Information Technology Research Organization (NITRO), is a Not for Profit Non Governmental Organization (NGO), registered under act XXI of Societies Registration Act, 1860 and a recognized partner of Government of India under Government of India NGO Partnership System. NITRO was constituted an established on 4 th December, 2013 registered by the Registrar General of Societies, Ranchi, Jharkhand to function all over India. The main aim of the organization is to eradicate the multi-dimensional socio-economic problems of India such as poverty through Information Technology (IT) and IT enabled services in various industries such as hospitality, healthcare, medicine, food production and processing, food protection, environment, energy, education, etc. This can be done in many ways, however, NITRO will try to shot this problem out through employment. Many people still think that IT reduces employment opportunities. But, indeed the reality is quite different. According to a report published by Microsoft YouthSpark in 2013, there are still millions of youth unemployed which are also known as power industry of nation. 5 By generating opportunities through language, greener IT, technological advancement in production, transportation, interoperability, security, education, health, food, energy, research, and entertainment this gap can be bridged. NITRO, therefore, is focused on development of plans which favour the lives of people and change their lives. An Example Concept: Health YOU CAN HELP: VISIT NITROINDIA.ORG TO LEARN MORE AND GET INVOLVED Helping people to detect and diagnose their body problems with a medical app I firmly believe that my medical app will help doctors suggest better and effective medicines by its world class database of medicines and regularly updated cloud database of diseases. Also, people can use it to socially connect to online doctors at free and very low rate to get medicinal help. They even can access medical resources and what an intelligence! The app suggests you what to do. But, it works on windows phone and windows 8/rt. So, get them. Soon other versions will be available. Since it uses Cloud like Windows Azure, an Internet Connection is required for installation and regular or emergency updates are required. If we consider any other problem like, environment or something else, it also is likely to get eradicated by a bit of human effort and information intelligence. Well, not quite so easy, but not really a very tough task with IT. A Case Study: Microsoft Carbon Neutral Environmental Footprint Microsoft is Going Carbon Neutral! 7 CHAPTER 3 MORE ABOUT US Sectors of Operation NITRO plans to promote and publish research studies on information technology and also undertake and promote the publication and translation of journal, research paper and books and to evolve the audio visual programme to disseminate knowledge pertaining to the objective of the society as referred to the section 4(a) of its byelaws. However, on the basis of its requirements and also on reference to the sections 4(b, c, d, e, f, g, h, I, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r and s) NITRO may also functions in the following major areas of operation as per the requirement of the project may be: 1. To develop and create mutual understanding co-operation, love for members and to develop their interest in social, educational, and economic aspects. 2. While maintaining members separate social and cultural identity to continuously remain engaged in achieving national unity and integrity. 3. To identify and introduce such educational, social, cultural, and vocational opportunities which may be helpful for the development and progress of people. 4. To prepare and implement such welfare programs and plants, which may be beneficial and useful for handicapped persons, females, children, and people of old further to actively implement such plants. 5. To inspire and develop physical, intellectual, social, cultural, artistic qualities in the people and further to develop advanced scientific and technology qualities in meritorious children. 6. To make arrangements for medical treatment and investigation facilities for members and their families or other concerned people. 7. To provide all help and co-operation at the time of natural calamities. 8. To work for betterment of society by helping the NGOs and other Government or Non- Government entities in their initiatives to uplift socially weaker sections of society or eradicate corruption. 9.
